Melina was a staple of the ruthless aggression era alongside women like Mickie James, Jillian Hall, Candice Michelle, and more. She was also the in contention to unify the Championships mentioned above at Night of Champions in 2010 in a match with Michelle McCool.

She was released from WWE in August 2011 and after taking time off, began working regular independent dates in 2015. Most recently, she made an appearance on the Raw Reunion episode of Monday Night Raw in July of 2019 as a referee. Also, before the global coronavirus pandemic forced the brand to shut down, Melina Perez was working with the National Wrestling Alliance.

Fightful will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
