News on the location of NWA 76.
Per a report from Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone, the NWA is planning to host its NWA 76 celebration in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena, better known as the ECW Arena on Saturday, August 31.
If the reports are true, this would be the first event in Philadelphia since the promotion was purchased by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. This will also be the first NWA event in Philadelphia since February 1998, when the promotion hosted the Eddie Gilbert Memorial Brawl.
The promotion hasn't confirmed where the event will be taking place. Instead, they issued this statement, “We will be announcing in the coming weeks all the details of when and where NWA 76 will be taking place. Until then, let the speculation continue.”
NWA is currently airing on the CW App. Most major events are now NWA TV tapings. Traditionally, NWA's anniversary event has been a two-night pay-per-view event.
Fightful will continue to monitor this story and report any updates.
