Sami Callihan is staying with IMPACT Wrestling.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Callihan has signed a new deal with the company. Details of the contract are unknown at this time. Callihan made his IMPACT Wrestling debut at Bound For Glory 2017.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Callihan recently discussed wanting to be one of the saviors of IMPACT Wrestling.
"It's the right fit because they gave me the ball and gave me some blockers to do what I want to do and what I knew was right. Sure, they may write something and they may have something in creative, but they give me the balls to be and do what I want because they have that faith in me," said Callihan. "For a company to have that faith in me, I want to be a part of. I want to be the guy to fix IMPACT Wrestling. When it goes down in two to three to five years. Whatever it takes to get back to its former glory or even better or be something completely different. I want to be one of the reasons people look back and go, 'Yo, AJ Styles may have made that company or Samoa Joe may have made that company. But you know who saved it? Sami Callihan.' That's what I want to be."
Callihan has referred to himself as "the draw" in IMPACT Wrestling recently on television and pay-per-view. He defeated Brian Cage in six-man tag team action at Bound For Glory, likely setting him up for a X Division Title feud with Cage.
Fightful will provide more details on Callihan's contract if/when they become available.
