A reported update on AEW's interest in Sean Waltman.
Billy Gunn was recently quoted as saying All Elite Wrestling had tried on more than one occasion to bring in Sean Waltman. A new report sheds some light on how the former X-Pac feels about AEW, revealing that he is currently trying to once again get into ring shape.
According to Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling, AEW has approached Waltman about coming in, with the WWE Hall of Famer potentially teaming alongside former DX stablemate Billy Gunn. Specifics are unknown. However, Waltman was reportedly uninterested in only making a one-time appearance. He is, however, in the process of getting back into wrestling shape, and sources close to the situation say they wouldn't be astonished if he appeared in AEW.
Waltman returned to the ring in 2022, last battling Joey Janela at Spring Break 6 before requiring surgery to repair a torn bicep.
He subsequently stated that if he returned to the ring, it would have to be for a significant event such as a Royal Rumble. His comments can be found at this link.
