Report: Shinsuke Nakamura's Recovery Timetable Is Two Weeks

An update on Shinsuke.

This past Monday at a WWE Live event in Bakersfield, California at the 'Rabobank Arena', former two-time NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura was bitten by a police dog during a routine security check. This incident would lead to Nakamura being pulled from his live event match and his scheduled WWE United States Championship match against Jeff Hardy on SmackDown Live the following day.

The sequence of events also resulted in Nakamura not being medically cleared to compete at WWE's live events in Japan on June 29th and June 30th. Shinsuke did make an appearance in front of the Japan faithful prior to the WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

While in Japan, Nakamura was interviewed in a hotel by 'Nikkan Sports' and according to the site Nakamura stated that it will take him a full two weeks of recovery and did not specify whether that  meant two weeks until he returns to the ring or two weeks until he is cleared by WWE. Prior to Nakamura being bitten by the police dog, fans in Japan were going to be receiving a Wrestle Kingdom 10 rematch between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura as the former IWGP Heavyweight Champions were set to do battle over the WWE Championship.
