Tyson Fury is getting paid.
According to The Daily Mail, Tyson Fury will make $15 million for his WWE Crown Jewel bout against Braun Strowman. Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT was told that Fury's purse is "in that ballpark," though he did not confirm the actual $15 million number.
The report goes on to say that Fury could make another $20 million should he do another WWE match. The Daily Mail goes on to report, "there are talks" that Fury could face the winner of the Cain Velasquez vs. Brock Lesnar bout, which also takes place at Crown Jewel.
WWE Crown Jewel is the latest event to be staged in Saudi Arabia. WWE has previously shelled out top money for past superstars to appear at the Saudi Arabia events. Goldberg reportedly made over one million dollars for his Super ShowDown match against The Undertaker.
While nothing is official, Fury's team his hoping to get him back in the boxing ring in February 2020 for a rematch against Deontay Wilder. The two men fought to a draw in December 2018. 'The Gypsy King' is currently under medical suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission until Nov. 14 as a result of cuts suffered in his Sept. 14 bout against Otto Wallin.
