Wade Barrett will reportedly be present at the October 7 taping of WWE SmackDown.
According to a new report from PW Insider, NXT commentator Wade Barrett is set to be at the October 7 episode of WWE SmackDown. The report also states that is it currently unknown what, if any, role Barrett will have on the show.
In August 2020, Barrett returned to the company after being away for nearly four years. Since returning, Barrett has served as a color commentator for NXT alongside other broadcast partners like Beth Phoenix and Vic Joseph. On the October 4 episode of the show, Barrett was joined by two new partners in Sudu Shah and Byron Saxton.
Barrett has not wrestled since the April 4, 2016 edition of Monday Night Raw. In his last match, Barrett teamed with Sheamus in a losing effort to The New Day.
