WWE talent will have off for the holidays.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE will tape the Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve episodes of WWE SmackDown.
For New Year's Eve, WWE will air a special "Year In Review" show as the episode will air on Fox Sports 1 and not FOX due to FOX airing its annual New Year's Eve show. The decision to go with a "Year In Review" show was reportedly made by Nick Khan, Vince McMahon, and Kevin Dunn.
WWE originally listed its New Year's Eve Show as taking place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, but that show is now off the schedule. It's still listed on the Spectrum Center website, but tickets are not available for purchase.
WWE will tape the Christmas Eve episode of SmackDown on Friday, December 17 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. A live episode of SmackDown will also air that night. The Christmas Eve episode will air on FOX.
WWE will hold its Day 1 special event on New Year's Day from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
