Report: WWE Board Investigation Reveals Vince McMahon Made Payments To Donald Trump Foundation In 2007 & 2009

The latest report in the Vince McMahon saga.

Back on August 9, WWE revealed that they found more payments that came from Vince McMahon that totaled five million dollars. Although the purpose for these payments was undisclosed at the time, a new report from the Wall Street Journal has suggested that the Trump Foundation was the recipient of the money.

The report states that McMahon paid five million dollars in charitable donations to the now-defunct Donald J. Trump foundation in exchange for Trump's appearances on WWE TV back in 2007 and 2009. According to the report, Trump received a four million dollar payment for his WrestleMania 23 appearance and a one million dollar payment for his Monday Night Raw appearance back in 2009.

The report also notes that Trump had his team review under the contract that he signed for WrestleMania 23 to ensure that under zero circumstances, Trump would have his head shaved.

Trump also reportedly received personal appearance fees for the appearances that totaled $1.1 million.

McMahon retired from his CEO position back on July 22 following various allegations that were brought forth against him. Since then, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have assumed the roles of Co-CEO's. Meanwhile, Triple H has been cast to head the creative side of the company.
