Report: WWE Releases Zeda From Her Developmental Contract

Untimely news for the multi-talented Zeda.

According to a report by way of Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens, WWE has released NXT talent Zeda from her developmental contract. Zeda, whose real name is Julia Ho was one of four women recruited by WWE in January of 2017 to come train at the Performance Center

She made her first appearance on NXT TV in May of last year in a Battle Royal to determine a number #1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship. A few months into her run with the company she was announced as one the competitors in the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament last summer but was eliminated in the first-round by the eventual finalist of the tournament and the current NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler

Zeda would go on to compete for NXT on their weekly TV show and at live events. Zeda has competed in two matches this year; both being at NXT house shows and she was defeated in both of those bouts. Her last match was against Sage Beckett on March 3rd and Beckett was released from WWE just five days after that match. Zeda's run in the company has unfortunately come to an end as well as she was reportedly released from her contract at some point during this week.
