- Sonya Deville returned to competition on January 28 on the Smackdown Brand.
- On January 28, Big E was moved from Raw to Smackdown. No explanation was given.
- Ronda Rousey returned at the WWE Royal Rumble. She's a free agent, but challenged for Charlotte's Smackdown Title.
- Lita appeared at the WWE Royal Rumble as a free agent, but appeared on Raw and Smackdown.
- Cody Rhodes returned to WWE on April 2. He'd appear on Raw after
- Ezekiel, the brother of Elias, returned to WWE Raw on April 4.
- Lacey Evans joined the Smackdown brand on April 8 after being left out of the draft pool.
- Mustafa Ali returned to WWE on April 25 for the Raw brand after previously being drafted to Smackdown.
- Asuka joined the Raw brand on April 25 after being left out of the draft pool.
- Commander Azeez was dropped from WWE Raw on June 27.
- Dakota Kai re-signed by WWE and debuted for the Raw brand on July 31.
- Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were re-signed and debuted on WWE Smackdown August 5.
- Hit Row (B-Fab, Top Dolla, Ashante Thee Adonis) were re-signed and debuted on WWE Smackdown on August 12.
- Johnny Gargano re-signed with WWE on August 22 and appeared on WWE Raw.
- Sarah Logan appeared in a vignette on October 8 WWE Smackdown, and re-signed
- Bray Wyatt appeared at WWE Extreme Rules 2022 on October 8 and had re-signed. He was added to the Smackdown roster.
- Zelina Vega moved from Raw to Smackdown on October 7.
- Rey Mysterio moved from Raw to Smackdown on October 15, Baron Corbin moved from Smackdown to Raw on October 17. WWE announced this as a trade.
- JBL debuted on WWE Raw on October 17 as a manager.
- Mia Yim returned to WWE Raw on November 7.
- Tegan Nox returned to WWE Smackdown on December 2
- Bronson Reed returned to WWE Raw on December 19

- Tommaso Ciampa joined WWE Raw on April 11
- Io Shirai was called up to WWE Raw on July 31 and renamed IYO SKY
2022 WWE Smackdown Call Ups
- Raquel Rodriguez, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser (the former Marcel Barthel) debuted on April 8.
- Solo Sikoa and Giovanni Vinci debuted on the Smackdown brand on September 3.
- Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde) were called up October 7.
2022 NXT Call Ups
- Apollo Crews moved from Raw to NXT on June 7
- Veer moved from WWE Raw to NXT on October 4.

- Announcer Jimmy Smith was let go in October.
