AEW Dynamite (3/20/2024) Results: I Quit TNT Title Match, Mercedes Mone, Okada Goes For Gold, More

AEW hosted its latest episode of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

This week's episode features promos from Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, and Mercedes Mone. Also, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will settle their rivalry in an I Quit Match for the TNT Championship, Kazuchika Okada will also try to wrestle away the AEW Continental Championship from Eddie Kingston, and more.

AEW Dynamite (3/20/2024) Results

- The show kicks off with Mercedes Mone. She says she's here to start a global women's Revolution. A vignette plays to get anyone who may not be familiar with her up to speed. She says she has a history with Willow Nightingale. The lights go out and Julia Hart & Skye Blue try to get the jump on Mercedes but she gets the better of them. Eventually, Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander come out to make the save. The lights go out and when they come back on, Willow Nightingale appears like she's going to hit Mercedes with a chair before she snaps out of whatever trance she was in.

- Alex Marvez interviews The Elite. Okada says he's coming for Kingston's championship. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson say they are going to be on the headsets for the match as his personal producers.

* AEW Continental Championship: Kazuchika Okada def. Eddie Kingston (c)

- After the match, PAC confronts the new Champion.

- Renee Paquette interviews Swerve Strickland. He says he's issuing an open challenge for tonight.

Back from the commercial, Renee interviews Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale. Mercedes Mone interrupts. She shakes Statlander's hand and there's a little tension. Nightingale tries to speak to Mercedes but Mercedes cuts her off.

* HOOK def. Chris Jericho

- Jericho offers a fist bump, and HOOK accepts.

- Adam Cole discusses his disappointment in Wardlow's failures. Adam says it is now Wardlow's job to make sure that the rest of the Undisputed Kingdom continues to keep their gold.

- Chris Jericho tells Renee Paquette that he got what he wanted from HOOK and that next week he will have a proposition for him.

- Will Ospreay talks to Tony Schiavone. He previews his upcoming match against Bryan Danielson by discussing the match that Danielson had with Katsuyori Shibata. He then challenges Shibata to a match for next week.

- A video package recaps the issues between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage

* Deonna Purrazzo & Thunder Rosa vs. Toni Storm & Mariah May

- Rosa got the pin and Deonna did not seem too happy about it.

* Swerve Strickland def. The Butcher

- Strickland calls out Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe seems ready to fight Strickland but Don Callis comes out and says that Konosuke Takeshita and Strickland have the same amount of wins so they will fight next week.

* TNT Championship I Quit Match: Adam Copeland def. Christian Cage (c)

- In a match that featured interference from Mother Wayne, Nick Wayne, Luchasaurus/Killswitch, Daddy Magic, and Daniel Garcia, Copeland got the win after hitting Christian in the groin with Spike and then threatening to hit him on the top of the head.
