AEW Announces Change To How AEW Continental Classic Winner Will Be Crowned

#1 Contender's Royal Rampage Match

"Hangman" Adam Page, Powerhouse Hobbs, Darby Allin, and Tony Nese began the match. Allin hit a missile dropkick on Nese, while Hobbs hit a shoulder spear on the corner. Nese hit a spinning kick on Allin. Ricky Starks joined the match and exchanged strikes with Page. Hobbs hit a big boot on Page before Starks hit a spear on Page. Allin hit a Coffin splash on Nese before back-dropping Nese out of the match before hitting him with a Tope Suicida. The Butcher joined the match and slammed Allin's head into the barricade. John Silver joined the match and hit a forearm strike on Hobbs and a dropkick on Starks. Page and Silver hit a double-back suplex on Hobbs. Page and Silver teased eliminating each other for the banter. After a semi-decent rap, Max Caster joined the match. Caster and Butcher scissor each other. Rush made his AEW debut by entering the match and punching everyone in his sight before confronting Silver. Rush hit a chop and a standing suplex on Silver. Rush hit a low dropkick on Page before hitting a suplex on Starks. The Blade joined the match and attacked Caster and Allin. Penta Oscuro joined the match, but he and Rush brawled outside of the ring with Penta hitting a sling blade on the ramp. Rush hit a missile dropkick on Penta. Starks speared Silver out of the ring, eliminating him from the match. Shane "Swerve" Strickland joined the match and took out The Butcher, The Blade, and super kicked Max Caster to eliminate him from the match. Keith Lee joined the match but was attacked by Starks and Hobbs. Matt Hardy joined the match and slammed Butcher and Blade in the turnbuckles. Dustin Rhodes joined the match and hit a power slam on Starks, but got caught with a lariat by Hobbs. Penta and Rush exchanged strikes and kicks before Penta hit Tijeras on Rush, leaving them on the apron. Rush hit a low blow on Penta, but Penta pulled him from the pack, eliminating himself and Rush. Frankie Kazarian joined the match and hit a leg drop on Swerve. The Butcher and The Blade eliminated Matt Hardy. Dante Martin joined the match but was immediately double-teamed by Starks and Hobbs. Konosuke Takeshita joined the match and hit a diving lariat on Swerve before hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb on Allin. Takeshita hit a double German Suplex on Allin and Swerve. The Blade eliminated Kazarian. Brody King joined the match and hit multiple chops and punches on Rhodes. Orange Cassidy was the final entrant of the match, slowly walking into the ring. King chopped Martin's chest, sending him over the tor the elimination. Cassidy hitTijerasle-tijeras on Blade & Butcher. Takeshita hit a chop on Cassidy before brainbusterain buster. Hobbs and Starks eliminated Dustin Rhodes. Butcher and Blade eliminated Takeshita. Swerve eliminated Cassidy. Lee eliminated powerhouse Hobbs, but Starks eliminated Lee. Butcher and Blade eliminated Swerve. Page eliminated Starks, but Brody King hit a nasty forearm strike on Page to eliminate him. Allin eliminated Butcher and Blade. King made his way to the second ring and hit Allin with a gut-wrench powerbomb. King hit a cannonball senton on Allin. King hit a chop on Allin in the top rope. Allin dropped King into the apron. King got Allin in a sleeper hold before choking out Allin, eliminating him from the match. King won and became the #1 Contender for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. He will face the champion, Jon Moxley, on the 7/6/2022 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Winner: Brody King.

The Young Bucks (Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson) (c) VS. Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi

Nick and Goto started the match locking up before Goto sent Nick to the corner. Goto hit a shoulder tackle on Nick. Goto tossed Yoshi-Hashi onto Nick Jackson before hitting strikes on the backs of The Young Bucks. Matt hit Northern Lights Suplexes on Yoshi-Hashi and Goto before setting up Nick to do an Escalera Dive on Yoshi-Hashi and Goto on the outside. The Jackson hit a punch-enziguri kick combo on Yoshi-Hashi. Matt punched Yoshi-Hashi. Matt took Goto off the apron before hitting a diving lariat on Yoshi-Hashi. Nick hit a kick on Goto before hitting a spring rope senton on Yoshi-Hashi. Matt hit knee strikes on Yoshi-Hashi's back. Yoshi-Hashi hit a suplex on Nick Jackson before tagging in Goto. Goto hit a hip toss on Matt Jackson, followed by a leg lariat-bulldog combination for a near fall. Matt hit a Sliced Bread, followed. by a knee-strike by Nick on Goto for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi and Goto hit the neck breaker-leg sweep combo for a near fall on Nick. Goto hit a lariat on Nick. Goto was caught by an elbow strike and super kick from Matt, but Yoshi-Hashi hit a lariat on Matt Jackson. Goto hit the Death Valley neck breaker on Nick before tagging in Yoshi-Hashi. Yoshi-Hashi hit a chop and super kick on Nick. Goto and Yoshi-Hashi hit a super kick-Death Valley neck breaker on Nick for a near fall. Matt hit a super kick on Yoshi-Hashi, while Nick hit a super kick on Goto. The Young Bucks hit the BTE Trigger and the Meltzer Driver on Yoshi-Hashi for the pinfall win.

Winners: The Young Bucks (Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson).

- ROH World Heavyweight Champion, Jonathan Gresham, cut a fiery promo, revealing that he and Lee Moriarty will face Tully Blanchard Enterprises in a match on the 7/8/2022 edition of Rampage and saying that he was going to show he is the best technical wrestler in the world despite Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli.

- Mark Henry interviewed Toni Storm and Nyla Rose, with Rose saying that if Marina Shafir was a problem, she is a damn catastrophe.

Rose and Storm locked up, with Rose hit an elbow strike on Storm's back. Storm went for La Mistica, but Rose caught her with a lariat. Storm hit an uppercut on Rose, but was caught by Rose with an double-axe handle. Rose hit a suplex on Storm. Shafir lowered the rope to send Storm out of the ring. Shafir hit a mule kick on Storm. Rose slammed Storm on the stairs before body-slamming her on the outside of the ring. Rose hit an overhand forearm strike on Storm, but Storm slammed Rose on the ring post and the barricade. Storm and Rose got back in the ring, with Rose hitting an elbow drop on Storm. Rose got Storm in a modified snare trap, pulling Storm's nose and cheeks. She maintained the hold until Storm got a rope break. Rose hit a running splash on Storm. Rose went for a cannonball, but Storm evaded and hit the Hip Attack on Rose. Storm low-bridged the rope to send Rose to the outside. Storm hit a double DDT on Shafir and Rose. Storm hit a cross body on Rose for a near fall. Storm went for a tornado DDT, but Rose pushed her off and hit a body block for a near fall. Storm reversed a Beast Bomb into a sunset, but Rose sat on her neck for a near fall. Storm and Rose exchanged strikes before Storm attempted an O'Connor Roll, but Rose kicked a turn buckle pad off the corner. Rose hit a thrust kick for a near fall. Rose went for a diving knee, but Storm evaded Storm hit a German Suplex on Rose for a near fall. Storm hit a Tornado DDT and a Pendelum DDT on Rose for the pinfall win.

Winner: Toni Storm.

- Shafir attacked Storm from behind, but AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa came to the ring to make the save. Storm and Rosa shook hands to end the show.
