IMPACT Wrestling (3/9/2023) Results: Mickie James Defends Knockout's Title, Gresham vs KUSHIDA & More

On March 3, 2023, IMPACT hosted a new episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV. The show was headlined by the Knockout's title match between the champion Mickie James facing Gisele Shaw. The show also had a technical showdown between former ROH World Heavyweight Champion Jonathan Gresham and former IWGP Junior-Heavyweight & NXT Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA.

IMPACT Wrestling (3/9/2023).

  • Bully Ray cuts a promo talking trash about Tommy Dreamer before his match against Bhupinder Gujjar.
  • Bhupinder Gujjar def. Bully Ray via DQ.
    • Tommy Dreamer appeared after the match, but he was followed by Masha Slamovich, who helped Bully. Mickie James came in to make the save for Dreamer with a kendo stick. James swung the kendo stick at Slamovich, but Slamovich evaded, to which Bully Ray saw and choked James out before Dreamer ran Slamovich & Bully Ray out of the ring with a steel chair.
  • PCO cut a promo in a desert with a shovel before he called out Eddie Edwards to a fight.
  • Rich Swann accepted the offer to team with IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion Josh Alexander to team up in No Surrender. Steve Maclin offered himself to be his partner in order to scout the competition ahead of his & Alexander's match against one another in Rebellion, but Alexander revealed that he had already chosen Frankie Kazarian as his partner.
  • Rhino def. Callihan.
  • Backstage, Director of Authority Santino Marella & Dirty Dango told X-Division Champion Trey Miguel that he set up a 6-man match for the X-Division Title. Johnny Swinger & Zicky Dice interrupted proceedings to ask someone to do the job for him, but Miguel walked out.
  • Callihan tried to confront Deaner & The Design backstage, but Deaner held 6 fingers to Callihan, indicating that he was on his sixth step to joining The Design.
  • Jordynne Grace def. Alex Gracia.
  • Moose confronted IMPACT Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry backstage but was until Brian Myers attacked Hendry from behind. Myers told Hendy that he was coming for the title before he & Moose attacked Hendry.
  • New IMPACT Tag Team Champions Chris Bey & Ace Austin were with KENTA backstage before they confronted Frankie Kazarian, Josh Alexander & Rich Swann backstage. They challenged each other to a trios match next week
  • KUSHIDA def. Jonathan Gresham
  • Killer Kelly called out Taylor Wilde in an in-ring promo. Wilde joined Kelly in the ring, but KiLynn King came out and attacked Kelly with a chair as Wilde looked along. Wilde & King walked down the ramp together after the attack.
  • Backstage, Rosemary, Jessicka & Taya Valkyrie talked to Killer Kelly backstage after Wilde & King's attack. They invited Killer Kelly to the Never Realm but Kelly walked out. Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King confronted The Death Dollz and challenged them to a match for their Knockout's Tag Team Championships, which the Death Dollz accepted.
  • PCO & Eddie Edwards brawled in a dessert. PCO tried to bury Edwards in a pit, but he was run over by a mysterious person in a car before Edwards got in the car and left.
  • IMPACT Knockouts Championship Match: Mickie James (c) def. Gisele Shaw (w/ Jai Vidal & Savannah Evans).
