- Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring and she has her am in a brace, McMahon says she is disappointed in the WWE Universe for their reaction to her. McMahon says that she was amazing in the ring at ‘Mania 34, McMahon says she brought out the best in Ronda Rousey last night. McMahon says she is proud of what Rousey accomplished last night before bringing her out, Rousey then makes her way to the ring.
McMahon says that the better woman won at ‘Mania 34, McMahon says that Rousey is a role model for people everywhere. McMahon says she wants to blaze new trails in the WWE together, McMahon says that Rousey taught her a real lesson last night. McMahon even goes as far as to say that she is friends with Rousey again, the two hug and then Rousey applies the arm bar to an injured McMahon. Rousey releases the hold as WWE officials make their way to the ring to attend to McMahon.
- Alexa Bliss has a microphone in hand as she makes her way to the ring for an upcoming tag team match, calling both Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax bullies. Bliss goes back to making weight jokes against Jax, Bliss says that Jax even beat up Mickie James for no reason last night at ‘Mania 34. Bliss brings up that Jax doesn’t have a partner tonight, Jax tells Bliss to shut up before saying she enjoyed beating them both up at ‘Mania 34. Jax says she has a partner tonight and that partner is revealed to be Ember Moon.
Nia Jax & Ember Moon vs. Alexa Bliss & Mickie James
The match begins with Jax tossing James across the ring, Jax then hits James with an avalanche in the corner. Jax misses a second avalanche attempt and James attacks her with a few strikes, Bliss tags in and she also kicks away at Jax in the corner. James tags in as Jax nails Bliss with a headbutt, Moon tags in and she clobbers James with a roaring elbow strike. Moon then hits James with a head and arm suplex, James lands a kick and Bliss tags into the match. Moon recovers to nail Bliss with an enzaguri followed by a handspring forearm strike, Moon follows that up with a springboard cross body block for a near fall. Moon then trips up Bliss before going to the top rope, Moon nails Bliss with the Eclipse for the three count.
Winners: Nia Jax & Ember Moon
- Raw GM Kurt Angle is talking on his phone in his office when Braun Strowman walks in, Nicholas also appears after Angle congratulates them on winning the Raw Tag Team Titles at ‘Mania 34. Strowman says that they are relinquishing the Raw Tag Team Titles, Strowman says that they will come back and reclaim the belts when Nicholas finishes with school.
No Way Jose vs. John Skyler
The match begins with Jose nailing Skyler with a hip toss into a neck breaker, Joe catches Skyler with an elevated forearm strike for a three count.
Winner: No Way Jose
- Raw GM Kurt Angle is shown in his office when The Bar arrive to discuss the tag team title situation, Angle says that he isn’t handing them their titles back. Angle announces a four team tournament, with the winners facing off against The Bar for the belts at the Greatest Royal Rumble event.
WWE Raw Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Opening Round
The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) vs. The Balor Club (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows)
The match is joined in progress and we see Gallows attacking both members of The Revival, Gallows knocks Wilder out of the ring before eating a chop block from Dawson. Dawson wrenches away on the leg of Gallows before tagging Wilder in, Wilder stomps away on the injured knee of Gallows. Wilder would also start wrenching away on the injured leg of Gallows, Gallows gets free and Dawson tags in so Gallows can drop him with a few strikes. Wilder tags in and he eats a super kick from Gallows, Anderson tags in and Dawson eats a few strikes as he gets a tag. Anderson catches Dawson with a middle rope neck breaker on Dawson before taking Wilder out with a dive, Anderson then catches Dawson with a spine buster for a near fall.
Gallows hits the ring to take care of an interfering Wilder, Wilder then throws Gallows into the barricade. Wilder tags in and The Revival hit Anderson with a Shatter Machine for a three count.
Winners: The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson)
- WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring and he has a microphone in hand, Rollins says that he is back after winning the gold at ‘Mania 34. Rollins says he has caught up with the other members of The Shield to also become a grand slam champion, Finn Balor interrupts and he makes his way to the ring. Balor says that he is sorry to interrupt and he has something he wants to say to Rollins, Balor congratulates Rollins on winning the belt. Balor says that he wasn’t a loser in the triple threat match at ‘Mania 34 since he wasn’t defeated at the event, Balor then challenges Rollins for the WWE Intercontinental Title.
Rollins apparently agrees and shakes hands with Balor, The Miz interrupts and he makes his way to the ring with The Miztourage. Miz says that Rollins doesn’t deserve to be the champion, Miz says he still deserves to be the champion. Rollins claims that The Miz cannot win a match without The Miztourage by his side, Miz talks about becoming a father for the first time two weeks ago. Miz says that his daughter and wife cried after he lost the title at ‘Mania 34, Rollins says everybody cries when they watch him wrestle. Rollins says he is willing to give Miz a rematch for the belt tonight and he turns it down, Miz says he will have his rematch at WWE Backlash.
The Miz then says he and The Miztourage are willing to face Seth Rollins and Finn Balor tonight, Jeff Hardy interrupts and makes his way to the ring. The Miz and The Miztourage high tail it out of the ring instead of facing all three competitors.
Mandy Rose w/Paige & Sonya Deville vs. Sasha Banks w/Bayley
The match begins with Banks sending a charging Rose out of the ring before landing a baseball slide drop kick, Banks gets Rose back in the ring before landing a few strikes. Banks then traps Rose in the corner before getting a suplex for a near fall, Banks also decides to wrench away on the arm of Rose. Rose drops Banks after catching her with a back elbow strike, Banks fights back and she smashes the face of Rose into the top turnbuckle a few times. Rose recovers to drop Banks on the top rope as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Rose holding Banks in an abdominal stretch. Banks gets free and she catches Rose with a hip toss followed by a running cross body block, Banks then hits Rose with a drop kick.
Banks then cracks Rose with a rope assisted knee strike, Banks goes to the top rope to catch Rose with a Thesz Press for a near fall. Rose retreats to the arena floor before dropping Banks with a strike, Rose pushes Bayley and Bayley accidentally attacks Banks when going after Rose. Rose nails Banks with a knee strike as she gets in the ring for a three count.
Winner: Mandy Rose w/Paige & Sonya Deville
After the match, Paige has a microphone and she says it was hard for her to sit on the sidelines for ‘Mania 34. Paige says that she can no longer perform after suffering a series of neck injuries, Paige says she wants to thank all the women of the WWE and she is proud of the entire women’s division. Paige also wants to thank her family and Daniel Bryan for all that they have done, Paige says that Bryan gives her hope for the future. Paige also thanks Edge for talking with her backstage, Paige also thanks everybody for their support since she debuted in the WWE four years ago. Paige announces her retirement, but finishes up by saying that the ring will always be her house.
- A video package airs highlight the return of The Undertaker as he defeated John Cena at ‘Mania 34.
- Elias is in the ring and he wants to know “who wants to walk with Elias?” Elias addresses how John Cena ruined his moment at ‘Mania 34, Elias performs his song and Bobby Lashley interrupts. Lashley gets in the ring and he nails Elias with a neck breaker, Lashley then hits Elias with a delayed vertical suplex before leaving the ring.
- Raw GM Kurt Angle is shown talking on his phone in his office when Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn arrive, Owens and Zayn say they came to Raw looking for a job. Angle says his tag team division is full before saying the TNA Wrestling is hiring, Angle says they can wrestle each other tonight and the winner gets a job.
- Heath Slater & Rhyno are in the ring and they have a microphone in hand, Slater says they are angry that they aren’t in the tag team tournament tonight. Slater challenges any tag team in the locker room to an open challenge tonight.
Rhyno & Heath Slater vs. Authors Of Pain (Razar & Akam) w/Paul Ellering
The match begins with Slater attacking Razar before the bell sounds, Razar drops Slater with a spear before landing a few strikes. Akam tags in and the AOP double team Slater, Razar tags back in and they hit Slater with The Last Chapter for the three count.
Winners: Authors Of Pain (Razar & Akam) w/Paul Ellering
After the match. AOP walk away without Paul Ellering at their side.
- Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring and he has a microphone in hand, Reigns admits he got his ass kicked at ‘Mania 34. Reigns reveals that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar isn’t here tonight, Reigns says that Vince McMahon couldn’t even smarten him up to the fact that Lesnar got a new contract. Reigns says he had no idea that he was facing Lesnar in a steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble until he found out on the internet, Reigns then says he will eventually beat Lesnar to win the WWE Universal Title. Samoa Joe comes out and he has a microphone in hand, Joe says that Lesnar exposed Reigns at ‘Mania 34.
Joe talks about how Reigns bragged that he could be Lesnar for over a year and he failed to do so, Joe calls Reigns a failure and a liar. Joe says that Lesnar gets richer everytime he beats up Reigns, Joe says that all Reigns does is to make excuses as to why he keeps losing. Joe then says he is going to be facing Reigns at WWE Backlash.
WWE Raw Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Opening Round
Titus Worldwide (Titus O’Neil & Apollo) w/Dana Brooke vs. Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt
The match begins with Wyatt tagging in after a go behind from Hardy, Wyatt grabs O’Neil and he sends him into a boot from Hardy. Wyatt then drops O’Neil with a clothesline, Apollo tags in and he mauls Wyatt with some strikes in the corner. Wyatt and Hardy mess with Apollo before Wyatt kicks him in the head, Wyatt then hits a downed Apollo with a senton bomb before landing forearm strikes. Hardy tags in and he attacks Apollo with a series of strikes, Apollo fights back and Hardy smashes his face into the turnbuckle multiple times. Wyatt tags in and he also smashes the face of Apollo into the turnbuckle a few times, Hardy tags in and he nails Apollo with a Side Effect for a near fall.
O’Neil breaks up a pin attempt and Wyatt knocks him back out of the ring, Apollo then hits Hardy with a drop kick. Wyatt tags in and he eats an enzaguri from Apollo, Apollo leaps off the top rope and Wyatt winds up nailing him with a uranage. Hardy tags in and he nails Apollo with a Twist Of Fate for the three count.
Winners: Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt
Winner Gets A Job On Raw
Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
The match begins with Zayn immediately missing a Helluva Kick attempt against Owens, Owens attacks Zayn and Zayn knocks him to the arena floor. Owens gets back in the ring to drop a charging Zayn with an elbow strike, Zayn knocks Owens back out of the ring before nailing him with a suicide dive. Zayn gets Owens back in the ring before getting knocked to the arena floor, Zayn recovers and he propels Owens into the ring post. Owens rolls back in the ring and Zayn goes for a tornado DDT, Owens winds up crotching Zayn before landing a springboard elbow drop for a near fall as we go to a commercial break.
We return from the break to see Zayn knocking Owens off the ropes before leaping off himself, Zayn escapes a pop up power bomb to hit Owens with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Zayn goes for a Helluva Kick and Owens rolls out of the ring, Zayn goes out and looks for a tornado DDT and Owens catches him with a super kick, Owens then hits Zayn with a cannonball followed by a frog splash for a near fall. Owens then hits Zayn with a few running clotheslines in the corner, Zayn catches Owens with a Helluve Kick from out of nowhere. Zayn goes for a German suplex as Owens holds onto the ropes, Owens recovers to land a pop up power bomb before falling out of the ring.
Owens goes to the top rope and Zayn kicks him in the face, Zayn goes to the top rope and Owens catches him with a super fisherman buster suplex. The referee makes a ten count before either man can get back up and the match is called off.
Match Result: Double Count Out
- Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy and Seth Rollins run into Matt Hardy backstage. Matt says that he is happy that Jeff has recovered from the injuries, Bray Wyatt appears and he shares a hug with Jeff.
The Miz & The Miztourage (Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas) vs. Seth Rollins, Jeff Hardy & Finn Balor
The match begins with Miz immediately tagging Axel into the match, Axel quickly drops Rollins with a shoulder tackle before applying a headlock. Rollins gets free to get Axel down and work over his arm, Dallas tags in after an eye rake and Rollins takes care of them both. Balor tags in and he immediately tags Hardy in, Hardy catches Dallas and Axel with Whisper In The Wind as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Dallas holding Rollins in a chin lock, Rollins gets free and he tags Balor into the match. Balor immediately cleans house on the opposing team, Balor drops Dallas before landing a double stomp.
Balor then hits Dallas with a falling elbow drop for a near fall, Miz distracts Balor so that Dallas can attack him from behind. Miz tags in and he stomps away on a downed Balor for a near fall, Miz applies a chin lock to a downed Balor. Balor fights back and Miz nails him with a neck breaker for a near fall, Axel tags in and he nails Balor with a rolling neck breaker. Axel reapplies the chin lock to a downed Balor, Balor gets free and Axel nails him with a drop kick to the face. Dallas tags into the match and he nails Balor with a plethora of knee drops, Dallas applies another chin lock to a downed Balor.
Balor gets free by nailing Dallas with a jaw breaker, Balor then hits Dallas with a back suplex before Miz tags in to attack Balor. Balor then hits Miz with a drop kick before tagging Hardy in the ring, Hardy quickly cleans house on the opposing team. Hardy nails Axel with an atomic drop followed by a leg drop for a near fall, Dallas distracts Hardy and that allows Axel to attack him from behind. Dallas tags in as Hardy takes him and Axel out with a Whisper In The Wind, Rollins and Miz get tagged into the match. Rollins catches Miz with a blockbuster before nailing Axel with a suicide dive, Rollins knocks Miz out of the ring before taking out the opposing team with a suicide dive.
Rollins gets Miz back in the ring and he misses a charge in the corner, Miz goes to the top rope and Rollins meets him up there to land a superplex into a falcon arrow for a near fall. Balor hits the ring to knock Axel and Dallas out of the ring, Balor then hits The Miztourage with a suicide dive. Rollins nails Miz with a curb stomp for the three count.
Winners: Seth Rollins, Jeff Hardy & Finn Balor
After the match, Jeff Hardy nails Bo Dallas with a Twist Of Fate, Finn Balor then hits Dallas with a Coupe De Grace followed by a swanton bomb from Hardy and a curb stomp from Seth Rollins. The winning team then does the same thing to Curtuis Axel.
