Mistico Announces He Is Relinquishing CMLL World Historic Middleweight Title, Tournament To Crown New Champion

 


- The show starts off with a tribute to the armed forces for Memorial Day, including comments from those who have served to protect our country.

- Braun Strowman makes his way to the ring and he has something to say, Strowman says he is motivated by the Money In The Bank briefcase and what it brings. Strowman promises to destroy everybody at WWE Money In The Bank before winning the briefcase, Strowman says he will get called “Mr. Monster In The Bank” after winning the briefcase. Finn Balor interrupts and makes his way to the ring with a microphone in hand, Balor says he was the first WWE Universal Champion and he is determined to get back on top by winning the briefcase.

Strowman says that Balor put up a good fight in their match last week for a little guy, Balor slaps Strowman and Strowman tosses him across the ring. Raw GM Kurt Angle interrupts and he goes over what each competitor can win at WWE Money In the Bank, Angle then makes a rematch between Strowman and Balor before sending a referee to the ring.

Braun Strowman vs. Finn Balor

The match begins with Strowman tossing Balor clear across the ring a few times, Strowman misses some charges in the corner before dropping Balor with a right. Strowman picks Balor up before nailing him with a headbutt, Strowman would then drop Balor with a hard Irish whip into the corner. Balor recovers and gets his feet up against a charging Strowman, Strowman recovers and drops Balor with a single blow to the upper body. Strowman kicks Balor to the ring apron before allowing him back into the ring, Balor tries fighting back and Strowman drops Balor with another right for a near fall. Strowman again drops Balor with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Balor fights back by attacking Strowman with a drop kick.

Strowman drops Balor before Kevin Owens (who was a guest commentator) grabs a microphone to distract Strowman as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Balor attacking a cornered Strowman with some strikes. Balor looks for a step up enzaguri and Strowman knocks him to the arena floor, Strowman then knocks Balor over the barricade and into security with a running shoulder tackle. Balor recovers and he shoves Strowman into the ring post, Balor also attacks Strowman with a ton of strikes as he gets back in the ring. Balor then knocks Strowman out of the ring as Owens again distracts everybody by talking on the microphone, Strowman tries getting back in the ring and Balor nails him with an enzaguri to knock him to the arena floor. Balor then takes Strowman out with a suicide dive, Balor waits for Strowman to get back in the ring before dropping him with a shotgun drop kick.

Balor then hits a standing Strowman with a double stomp followed by a Coupe De Grace, Balor goes for a second Coupe De Grace and Owens hits the ring to attack Balor to cause a DQ.

Winner: Finn Balor, by DQ

After the match, Kevin Owens attacks Finn Balor with a ladder until Braun Strowman grabs the ladder away from him and later throws it at Owens.

- Highlights are shown of Jinder Mahal’s attack on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on last weeks Raw.

- Elias is shown tuning his guitar backstage.

- Kevin Owens is shown trying to leave the arena and he wants the valet to get the car, Raw GM Kurt Angle arrives and he informs Owens that he faces Bobby Roode tonight.

- Sasha Banks cuts a selfie promo saying she can rewrite history by qualifying for and winning the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

- Elias is in the ring and he wants to know “who wants to walk with Elias?” Elias says the song he will perform tonight is a special one for him, Elias makes several requests while refusing to play the song for quite some time and we go to a commercial break instead of hearing him play. Elias is still in the ring when the commercial break ends and he still demands silence from the crowd, WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins interrupts because his title defense is up next. The two come face to face before Rollins throws his stool out of the ring, Elias leaves a short time later. 

WWE Intercontinental Title Match
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Jinder Mahal w/Sunil Singh

The match begins with Rollins sending Mahal into the corner before landing some chops, Rollins eventually knocks Mahal out of the ring before landing a dive. Rollins gets Mahal in the ring and a distraction from Singh allows Mahal to knock Rollins from the ring apron to the barricade as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Mahal holding Rollins in a waist lock. Rollins fights free and Mahal still nails him with a back suplex for a near fall, Mahal continues his attack on Rollins by applying the abdominal stretch to him. Rollins gets free and Mahal manages to drop him with a knee lift to the midsection, Mahal traps Rollins in the corner before stomping away on him. Rollins recovers and he sends Mahal face first into the turnbuckle, Rollins follows that up with a sling blade on Mahal.

Rollins then knocks Mahal out of the ring before taking him out with a suicide dive, Rollins gets Mahal in the ring before nailing him with a blockbuster for a near fall. Mahal recovers and he catches Rollins with a gut buster for a near fall, Mahal sets up for his finisher and Rollins escapes to catch Mahal with a super kick. Rollins follows that up by nailing Mahal with a falcon arrow for a near fall, Rollins catches Mahal with another super kick before Singh grabs his leg to distract him. Mahal rolls out of the ring to grab a chair and he hits Rollins with it as the ref was distracted for a near fall, Mahal looks for his finisher again and Rollins nails him in the midsection. Singh tries interfering again and Rollins power bombs him into Mahal, Rollins goes out of the ring to bring a steel chair back into it. Rollins attacks Mahal with the steel chair to cause a DQ.

Winner: Jinder Mahal w/Sunil Singh by DQ (Seth Rollins still the WWE Intercontinental Champion)

After the match, Seth Rollins continues attacking Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh with chair shots until they escape backstage. Rollins goes to celebrate on the announce table and Elias appears from behind to knock him off the table to the arena floor with a guitar shot.

- A WWE Honors Memorial Day video airs. - Seth Rollins is shown being loaded on a stretcher by WWE officials and medical personnel, Rollins opts to get off the stretch and walk out under his own strength.

- WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax is making her way to the ring when Ronda Rousey interrupts to go to the announce table. Jax grabs a microphone to say she is glad Ronda came out because she is going to show Rousey what will happen at WWE Money In The Bank.

Nia Jax vs. Michelle Webb

The “match” begins with the Webb trying an arm bar on Jax, Jax escapes the arm bar by nailing Webb with a power bomb. Jax does some trash talking on the microphone before before nailing Webb with a Samoan drop, Jax then hits Webb with a leg drop before trash talking on the microphone again. Jax then nails Webb with a rolling senton bomb, Jax gets on the microphone and tells Rousey to come to the ring to help Webb out. Rousey makes her way to the ring and Webb is already out of the ring, Jax says that she isn’t intimidated by Rousey. Jax laughs in Rousey’s face and even calls her cute, Jax drops the microphone and exits the ring before any physical contact occurs.

Match Result: No Contest

- Dana Brooke cuts a selfie promo, Brooke talks about the randomness of the Gauntlet Match tonight, but says she is smart enough to figure everything out.

The Deleter Of Worlds (Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt) vs. The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor)

The match begins with Viktor applying a headlock to Wyatt, Wyatt gets free and he drops Viktor with a headbutt. Hardy tags in and he double teams Viktor alongside Wyatt, Hardy nails Viktor with a reverse X-Factor for a near fall. Konnor distracts Hardy that that allows Viktor to jump him from behind, Konnor tags in and he double teams Hardy with Viktor. Konnor nails Hardy with a right followed by an elbow drop for a near fall, Konnor slows things down further by holding Hardy in a chin lock. Hardy gets free and Konnor immediately nails him with a few strikes, Konnor would then drop Hardy with a hard Irish whip before applying a headlock to him. Hardy fights back against both opponents before tagging Wyatt in, Wyatt quickly cleans house against the opposing team.

Wyatt drops Viktor before landing a senton for a near fall, Konnor interferes and Hardy nails him with a Twist Of Fate. Wyatt then hits Viktor with a uranage before Hardy tags in, Hardy tags in and he works with Wyatt to hit Viktor with the Kiss Of Deletion for the three count.

Winners: The Deleter Of Worlds (Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt)

- The B-Team visit Raw GM Kurt Angle in his office, they demand a shot at the Raw Tag Team Titles and Angle says they do not qualify yet. Dallas says they should try and get all the teams blessings before getting a title shot, Dallas says they will hold a Memorial Day BBQ tonight and all the tag teams are invited.

- The Riott Squad cut a selfie promo, they say they don’t care about luck or the odds because they will fight together in unity.

Bobby Roode vs. Kevin Owens

The match begins with Roode applying a headlock to Owens, Owens gets free to apply a headlock of his own to Roode. Roode gets free and Owens drops him with a shoulder tackle, Roode recovers to drop Owens before landing some strikes in the corner. Roode then sends a charging Owens to the ring apron before getting knocked to the arena floor with a clothesline, Roode goes to the ring apron and Owens trips him up before sending him into the barricade. Owens then hits Roode with a cannonball into the barricade as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Owens attacking the back of Roode with some strikes. Owens goes for a senton bomb and Roode gets out of the way, Roode fights back by catching Owens with some strikes.

Roode goes to the middle rope before catching Owens with a blockbuster, Roode then hits a cornered Owens with a running clothesline followed by a neck breaker for a near fall. Roode goes to the top rope and Owens quickly crotches him, Owens goes up to the top rope and Roode knocks him off a short time later. Roode catches Owens with a top rope clothesline, Roode sets up for a Glorious DDT and Owens rolls out of the ring. Roode attacks Owens from behind on the arena floor before getting him back in the ring, Owens recovers to hit Roode with a super kick for a near fall. Owens goes for a pop up power bomb and Roode escapes, Owens surprises Roode with a roll up from out of nowhere for the three count.

Winner: Kevin Owens

After the match, Braun Strowman comes out and he gets a hold of Kevin Owens after help from Bobby Roode, Strowman gets Owens in the ring and he hits him with a few running power slams. Strowman then goes after Roode and he hits him with a running power slam.

- Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring to issue a public apology for his actions against Bobby Lashley last week on WWE Raw, Zayn admits that last week didn’t go as he hoped. Zayn pulls out a written apology while putting reading glasses on, Zayn goes on to read his apology. Zayn also admits that he lied to everybody because Lashley’s “sisters” weren’t his real sisters, as they were men that he hired to entertain everybody. Zayn goes onto say that everything he said last week was true, Zayn can’t believe he’s the one catching flack for exposing the truth about Lashley. Lashley eventually makes his way to the ring he wishes the military and their families a happy Memorial Day, Lashley says his sisters found Zayn quite entertaining. Lashley says he wants a match with Zayn at WWE Money In The Bank, Zayn agrees to the match before promising to kick the smile off of his face. Lashley crushes Zayn’s hand during the handshake before exiting the ring.

- Mickie James cuts a selfie promo, she says that she has her eyes on the prize and she knows what to do to win the gauntlet match.

Drew McIntyre w/Dolph Ziggler vs. Chad Gable

The match begins with McIntyre nailing Gable with a back elbow strike before tossing him across the ring, McIntyre then traps Gable in the corner before landing a few strikes. Gable fights back by attacking McIntyre with some strikes of his own, McIntyre regains control by kicking Gable in the face. McIntyre stands over Gable while nailing him with a plethora of strikes, McIntyre then hits Gable with a suplex for a near fall. McIntyre then holds Gable down before wrenching away on his arm, Gable briefly gets free and McIntyre gets him back down while working away on his arm. Gable gets free and McIntyre propels him across the ring again, McIntyre gets Gable on his shoulder before climbing the ropes. Gable gets free and he knocks McIntyre off the ropes before landing a moonsault for a near fall, McIntyre recovers to knock Gable out of the ring.

Gable eventually catches McIntyre with a rolling kick to the head, McIntyre catches a leaping Gable and he throws him into the ring post. McIntyre gets Gable back in the ring before landing a Claymore kick for the three count.

Winner: Drew McIntyre w/Dolph Ziggler

- The B-Team hold their Memorial Day BBQ in the ring with several tag teams in the ring, The B-Team grab the microphone to welcome everybody to the BBQ. The tag teams are seemingly enjoying all the food before The B-Team asks if all the teams agree that they should get the next title shots, Titus O’Neil grabs the microphone to question what The B-Team are doing. Heath Slater joins in and says that they don’t deserve the title shots, The B-Team gets mad and they try taking their food back and that leads to the food getting dumped on them before a food fight breaks out. The B-Team eventually put Rhyno through a table.

- The B-Team confront Raw GM Kurt Angle about what happened at the BBQ, Angle says a tag team battle royal will happen next week and the winners get a shot at the Raw Tag Team Titles.

 

- Charly Caruso interviews Bayley before the match begins, Bayley says that she will win the gauntlet match, even though the odds are against her.

Gauntlet Match For Final Spot In Women’s Money In the Bank Ladder Match

Mickie James vs. Liv Morgan vs. Bayley vs. Ruby Riott vs. Sasha Banks vs. Sarah Logan vs. Dana Brooke

Match #1: Bayley vs. Liv Morgan

The match begins with Bayley immediately nailing Morgan with a Bayley To Belly for the three count.

Eliminated: Liv Morgan

Match #2: Bayley vs. Sarah Logan

The match begins with Bayley knocking Logan to the arena floor, Bayley then hits Logan with a hurricarana on the arena floor. Bayley gets Logan back in the ring for a near fall on a pin attempt, Logan recovers and she hits Bayley with a suplex for a near fall. Logan stands over Bayley while nailing her with some strikes, Logan then hits Bayley with a flying knee strike for a near fall. Bayley surprises Logan with a roll up for a three count.

Eliminated: Sarah Logan

After the fall, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan lay out Bayley as we go to a commercial break.

Match #3: Bayley vs. Ruby Riott

The match is joined in progress and we see Riott holding Bayley in a chin lock, Bayley fights free and she nails Riott with a few strikes. Bayley then catches Riott with a roll up followed by a back suplex, Bayley goes to the middle rope and Riott knocks her off into the ropes. Riott then hits Bayley with a Riott Kick for the three count.

Eliminated: Bayley

Match #4: Ruby Riott vs. Dana Brooke

The match begins with Riott attacking Brooke as she entered the ring, Brooke recovers to nail Riott with some strikes of her own. Brooke then hits a cornered Riott with a handspring elbow strike followed by a clothesline for a near fall, Riott hits Brooke with a Riott Kick from out of nowhere for a three count.

Eliminated: Dana Brooke

Match #5: Ruby Riott vs. Mickie James

The match begins with James dragging Riott out of the ring to land a few strikes, James then dives off the ring apron onto Riott. James gets Riott back in the ring for a near fall on a pin attempt, Riott fights back by catching James with a few strikes in the corner. James then hits Riott with a head scissors takedown and a drop kick for a near fall, James nails Riott with a baseball slide drop kick as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see James nailing Riott with clotheslines, James then hits Riott with a flapjack after landing a spin kick. James goes to the top rope and she nails Riott with a Thesz Press for a near fall, Riott surprises James with a roll up with a handful of tights for a three count.

Eliminated: Mickie James

Match #7: Ruby Riott vs. Sasha Banks

The match begins with Banks rolling up Riott a few times for a few near falls, Banks then hits Riott with a middle rope cross body for another near fall. Banks decides to just wrench away on the injured arm of Riott, Banks looks for the Bank Statement and Riott sends her into the ropes before landing a flat liner for a near fall. Riott traps Banks in the corner while stomping away on her, Banks and Riott have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring before Riott smashes Banks face on the mat for a near fall. Riott traps Banks in the corner again while landing some strikes, Banks fights back by sending Riott into the corner. Banks goes to the top rope to catch Riott with a top rope Meteora for a near fall, Banks misses a second Meteora and Riott nails her with a few more strikes.

Riott then hits Banks with a springboard DDT for a near fall, Riott follows up by nailing Banks with a knee strike for a near fall. Riott places Banks on the top rope and she follows her up there, Banks fights back and she gets off the ropes. Banks traps Riott in the corner before landing a super kick and power bomb for a near fall, Banks goes for the Bank Statement and the Riott Squad interferes to break it up. Banks fights off the Riott Squad and catches Riott in another Bank Statement to force a tap out.

Eliminated: Ruby Riott

Winner: Sasha Banks
