On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, WWE hosted a new episode of NXT on the USA Network.

The show was headlined by Joe Henry, Pete Dunne & Wes Lee going at it for a shot at the NXT Title. The full results are listed below.

  • NXT Women's Championship - #1 Contender's No Mercy Gauntlet Eliminator Match: Jaida Parker vs. Wren Sinclair vs. Adriana Rizzo vs. Karmen Petrovic vs. Kendal Grey vs. Sol Ruca

  • After Izzi Dame attacked Karmen Petrovic in the NXT Parking Lot, Vic Joseph & Booker T. Huffman welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening match.
  • Chase University (Duke Hudson, Riley Osbourne, Thea Hail & NXT Tag Team Champions Ridge Holland & Andre Chase) kicked off the show to celebrate their title win with Chase thanking Holland for his efforts to improve the school and bringing gold. The SuperSonic Duo (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) interrupted and called and wanted a rematch, but Hudson & Osbourne confronted them and said they had to go through them if they wanted a title shot. Axiom & Frazer accepted and told Hudson & Osbourne they would see them tonight, but Hudson responded there was no need to wait. They showed their ring gear, leading to a match.
  • SuperSonic Duo (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) def. Chase University (Duke Hudson & Riley Osbourne (w/ Thea Hail & NXT Tag Team Champions Ridge Holland & Andre Chase) via Pinfall (Chase The Dragon on Osbourne).
  • Ava spoke with Stevie Turner & Robert Stone, saying Karmen Petrovic had to be removed from the Gaunlet tonight. Izzi Dame tried to insert herself into the match, but Ava responded by saying Brinley Reece would take Karmen's spot.
  • Brinley Reece spoke with Carlee Bright & Kendall Grey, where she said she was shocked by being chosen as Karmen Petrovic's replacement but was looking forward to the match tonight. Wren Sinclair interrupted and told Reece & Grey she would win the Gauntlet to bring gold to the "Wren-QCC".
  • Wendy Choo def. Lola Vice (Pillow Strike).
    • Kelani Jordan appeared in the ring, but Vice hit Jordan with a back fist. Jordan challenged Choo to a match, which Choo accepted.
  • Kelly Kincaid interviewed Wes Lee ahead of his match, where he promised to send Pete Dunne back to Raw and Joe Hendry back to TNA. Sarah Schreiber interviewed Hendry backstage, where he scolded Lee for attacking The Rascalz and promised to make a believer out of himself and win the main event tonight.
  • NXT Women's Championship - #1 Contender's No Mercy Gauntlet Elimination Match: Jaida Parker def. Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, Karmen Petrovic, Kendal Grey & Sol Ruca via Pinfall (Drive By on Ruca)
    • Jaida Parker was interviewed after the match, where she said she had next at the title.
  • Kelly Kincaid interviewed NXT Champion Ethan Page, but he was interrupted by Pete Dunne who promised to win the Main Event tonight to snap Page's fingers and take the NXT Title.
  • Hank Walker & Tank Ledger def. The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) via Pinfall (Honk Honk).
  • Shawn Spears brawled with Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, with Enofe tossing Spears to the soundboard stage.
  • No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Bourne, Wren Sinclair & NXT Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey) cut a promo to celebrate Dempsey's title win, with Sinclair speaking for Dempsey to say Dempsey would face anyone for the title; however, they started regretting their life choices IMMEDIATELY. NXT North American Champion Oba Femi interrupted and declared himself the most dominant champion in NXT. The Family (Tony D'Angelo, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Luca Crucifino & Adrianna Rizzo) with D'Angelo saying he had his signs on something else that was not the Heritage Cup, but he never forgets. Crucifino, Rizzo & Stacks attacked Dempsey, Sinclair & Bourne while D'Angelo hit a Spinebuster on Femi.
  • Backstage, Wren Sinclair asked Je'Von Evans to take care of the Heritage Cup for her. After that, Gallus (Wolfgang, Joe Coffey& Mark Coffey) confronted Evans and told him his wrestling style was not worthy of the Heritage Cup, but Cedric Alexander joined Evans.
  • Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis def. Dion Lennox via Pinfall (Superkick).
  • The Meta Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) promised to beat Fatal Influence next week. Lexis King tried to get on Jackson & Legend's graces, but they did not buy it. Oro Mensah met with Jackson & Legend, where they said they needed to keep it together.
  • NXT Championship - #1 Contenders Match: Joe Hendry def. Wes Lee & Pete Dunne (One-Arm Pin).
    • After Zachary Wentz laid out Wes Lee at ringside, the finish came when Pete Dunne hit the Bitter End on Hendry, but Trick Williams caught Dunne with the Trick Shot. Hendry picked up the win and will become the first ever TNA Wrestler to main-event a WWE Show ever. Joe Hendry stood tall to end the broadcast.
