Good afternoon Fight Fans, it's time for NXT UK headlined by a match between Tyler Bate and Kassius Ohno!
Xia Brookside vs Kay Lee Ray
Ray backs Xia into the corner for a clean break before they exchange wrist locks and arm wringers and Ray puts Xia in a head scissors. Xia stands on her hands to get free and counters a full nelson and they exchange wrist locks until Ray drops Xia with a forearm before Xia hits a crucifix bomb for a two count. Xia gets another two count off of a sunset flip before Ray catches her when she goes for a diving cross body and slams her down to the mat. Ray hits a front suplex for a two count before Xia counters a Gory bomb into a back drop and a bulldog for a two count before hitting a huricanrrana for a near fall. Ray then superkicks Xia before hitting a Gory bomb for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kay Lee Ray defeats Xia Brookside via pinfall with a Gory bomb.
-We get a recap of the feud between Imperium and Gallus as well as the addition of Ilja Dragunov to Gallus last week as we go to commercial.
-We get a video package for Piper Niven where she talks about her achievements on the indies and how she's an inspiration to children.
Ligero vs Travis Banks
Ligero and Banks kick things off by exchanging strikes until they drop each other with a boot and counter each other until Ligero hits a flying cross body off of the ropes for a quick two count. Ligero drops Banks with a chop and locks in a variation of an octopus stretch before chopping Travis on his knees and hitting him with a lariat before they both get a double near fall, the match nearly ending the same way as their first encounter. Josh hits a near coast to coast missile dropkick for a two count before Ligero hits a code red for a two count and misses a springboard splash before they exchange near falls on an inside cradle. Travis hits an exploder into a superkick before hitting the Kiwi Crusher for a near fall before Ligero hits a superplex and Travis rolls out onto the apron to avoid the cover. Ligero joins Travis on the apron and they exchange chops until Travis hits a fisherman's suplex onto the apron.
Ligero then hits the C4L onto the floor before Joseph Conners shows up and sends Ligero into the ring post before Travis hits Ligero with A Slice of Heaven for the pin and the win.
Winner: Travis Banks defeats Ligero via pinfall with A Slice of Heaven.
-After the match Joseph attacks both Ligero and Banks before he grabs a mic and says that he was supposed to be the first NXT UK champion and that he was going to be a part of the first NXT UK Takeover and that he wasn't and that he is Takeover worthy and worthy of the NXT UK Championship. Joseph then says he's sick of the excuses and ignorance before saying that as long as he has to suffer everyone will suffer along with him before leaving.
-We then get a video package for Ridge Holland who will be debuting on next week's show as we go to commercial.
-We come back to William Regal visiting with Johnny Saint before they're interrupted by Alexander Wolfe who says that he wants a match against Ilja Dragunov and it's made official for next week's show.
Tyler Bate vs Kassius Ohno
They lock up and Ohno backs Bate into the corner before taking him down to the mat and goes for an armbar that Tyler blocks before they hop back up to their feet. Ohno applies a cravat and takes Tyler down before they run the ropes and Tyler locks in an octopus stretch, Ohno countering into a rear chin lock before Tyler rolls free. Back on their feet Ohno puts Tyler in a standing headlock before Tyler locks in a headlock and Ohno backs him into the ropes for the break. Tyler stands on his head in the corner before hitting a huricanrrana into a dropkick and Ohno catches him coming in with a knee to the midsection before sending Tyler into the ring post when he's on the apron. Tyler gets back in at the count of five and Ohno beats him down with chops and kicks before kicking him through the ropes and down onto the floor before Tyler gets back into the ring and Ohno stomps on him.
Ohno dodges a rolling kick and hits a senton for a two count before dropping Tyler with a rip cord forearm and drops him again with a stiff knife edge chop in the corner. Ohno locks in a modified version of the Kassius Clutch before hitting a cravat stunner for a near fall before nearly knocking Tyler out with a stomp to the face. They counter each other until Tyler hits an exploder suplex and rocks Ohno with uppercuts and a high knee into a flying uppercut. Tyler hits a running uppercut before Ohno turns Tyler inside out with a boot and goes for a Saito suplex, but Ohno is too strong before he goes up top and misses a moonsault. Tyler hits a bridging German suplex for a near fall before hitting two rolling kicks and a clothesline that sends Ohno out of the ring before Ohno catches him in mid-air when he goes for a dive.
Ohno then hits the Dream Crusher for a near fall before Tyler hits a UFO and the Tyler Driver '97 for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tyler Bate defeats Kassius Ohno via pinfall with the Tyler Driver' 97.
