WWE Raw 3/16/20 Results: Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade, A Contract Is Signed & Steve Austin Appears!

Grudge Match Added To Monday's WWE Raw

- Jerry Lawler, Byron Saxton and Tom Phillips are in the ring and they talk about how the coronavirus will lead to tonight being an empty arena show. Highlights are shown of what AJ Styles said about The Undertaker from last week's Raw, the announce team go over what is scheduled to go down tonight.

- Edge makes his way to the ring and he shows footage of what has gone down between himself, Randy Orton and Beth Phoenix over the last few months. Edge talks about his long history with Orton, Edge also talks about both of their relationships with Mick Foley. Edge says that Orton is one of the best wrestlers in the world and everything was handed to him since day one, Edge says that Orton is mad that Edge eliminated him in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Edge says Phoenix was going to announce Edge’s retirement two weeks ago before Orton attacked her, Edge says Orton pulled him away from that retirement decision. Edge challenges Orton to a Last Man Standing Match at ‘Mania 36, Edge says a redemptive story will be written at ‘Mania 36 and Orton won’t get back up.

- Video airs showing Becky Lynch driving a big rig to tonight’s Raw.

- The announce team returns and they talk about WWE Wrestlemania 36 being held at the WWE Performance Center.

- Highlights are shown of Drew McIntyre laying out Brock Lesnar with a trio of Claymore Kicks from two weeks ago on WWE Raw.

- Jerry Lawler is in the ring for the contract signing between The Undertaker and AJ Styles, with The Undertaker coming to the ring first. The Undertaker flips over the table as Lawler hightails it out of the ring and we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see a video package highlighting the feud between The Undertaker and AJ Styles. The Undertaker stays in the ring as AJ Styles and the rest of The OC appear on the big screen from a backstage location, Styles calls ‘Taker a legend and a part of the Mount Rushmore of WWE Superstars. Styles says the world would rather see The Undertaker removed from it, Styles again brings up Michelle McCool as the reason ‘Taker keeps embarrassing himself. Styles says he has no sympathy for the old guy because ‘Taker stuck his nose in The OC’s business, Styles says he’ll pay for ‘Taker’s assisted living after ‘Mania 36 is over.

Styles then signs the contract while the rest of The OC refuses to take the contract to ‘Taker, Styles convinces Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to bring the contract out to ‘Taker. Gallows and Anderson bring the contract to the ring, the gong sounds and the lights go out in the arena. ‘Taker appears behind Gallows and Anderson when the lights come back on, ‘Taker attacks Gallows and Anderson. ‘Taker throws Anderson into the ring steps and barricade, ‘Taker also throws Gallows into the barricade before signing the contract and shoving in Anderson’s mouth.

- Asuka joins the commentary team for the first match of the night.

Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade w/Zelina Vega

The match begins with Mysterio sending a charging Andrade into the ropes, Andrade recovers to drop Mysterio and stomp away on him. Andrade then hits Mysterio with a basement drop kick followed by an elbow drop, Mysterio fights back and he cracks Andrade with some strikes and a head scissors takedown. Mysterio sets up for a springboard move and Vega distracts him, Mysterio leaps off the top rope and Andrade nails him with a drop kick for a near fall as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Mysterio escaping the grasp of Andrade, Mysterio nails Andrade with a hurricarana that sends him into the ring post. Mysterio then hits Andrade with a springboard seated senton and head scissors takedown, Mysterio follows up by kicking Andrade in the head for a near fall. Mysterio goes for a springboard moonsault and Andrade blocks it, Mysterio sets up for a 619 afterwards and Andrade counters with a spinning back elbow strike for a near fall.

Andrade then hits Mysterio with a series of suplexes, Mysterio counters the last suplex to land a 619. Mysterio then lands a top rope splash on Andrade for a three count.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

- Highlights are shown of Shayna Baszler winning the women's Elimination Chamber Match.

- Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring, Lynch says she knows that Shayna Baszler is watching and her existence drives her crazy. Lynch says Baszler has been taught and trained to dominate everybody, but Lynch says Baszler’s whole world is a lie since she is the Raw Women’s Champion. Lynch says she will make Baszler think what she wants her to think about her, Lynch says she watched what Baszler did at WWE Elimination Chamber. Lynch says she will prove that Baszler’s whole life is a lie at ‘Mania 36, Baszler is shown watching everything from backstage.

- Highlights are shown of Rhea Ripley punching Charlotte Flair on last week's Raw, followed by Flair attacking Ripley last week on WWE NXT.

- Charly Caruso interviews Kevin Owens, who says he accepts Seth Rollins’ challenge for a single match. Owens says their match will happen at ‘Mania 36 and he’ll have the home field advantage at the WWE Performance Center, Owens talks about his history in the WWE Performance Center and he promises to beat Rollins at ‘Mania 36.

- “Stone Cold” Steve Austin makes his way to the ring to celebrate 3:16 Day, Austin gets a few beers and he quickly drinks them. Austin grabs the microphone and he wants to make a declaration, Austin declares 3:16 Day to be a national holiday. Byron Saxton gives Austin a “Hell Yeah” and Austin responds with a “What,” Austin tells everybody that 3:16 Day is about giving people the middle finger and can open up a can of whoopass on anybody and where the speed limit is only a suggestion and where happy hour is 24 hours long and when your boss works for you and where you have beer instead of morning coffee and when four letter words are always acceptable, Saxton continuously scores what Austin says. Austin asks Saxton to come to the ring to celebrate 3:16 Day with him and Saxton obliges, Austin eventually gives Saxton a stunner. Becky Lynch comes out with a cooler full of beer and she drinks with Austin, Austin nails Saxton with another stunner.
