WWE Raw (8/28/23) Results: Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark In Falls Count Anywhere, Gable vs. Kaiser

WWE hosted its latest episode of Monday Night Raw on August 28, 2023. The episode features Becky Lynch taking on Zoey Stark in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Also, Bronson Reed will fight Tommaso Ciampa.

Plus, The Viking Raiders take on Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods of The New Day.

WWE Raw (8/28/23) Results

* Damian Priest def. Sami Zayn. JD McDonagh stopped Sami Zayn from delivering the Helluva Kick, allowing Priest to hit the South of Heaven. During the match, it was announced that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens would defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Damian Priest & Finn Balor at WWE Payback.

- After the match, McDonagh got into the ring and was hit with a Stunner and Helluva Kick by the WWE Tag Team Champions.

-Backstage, Riddle tries to get Drew McIntyre to wear the same ring gear as him. McIntyre feels they should figure things out before getting ahead of themselves.

- The Miz comes out doing an impression of LA Knight. He says anyone can be a flash in the pan like Knight and says that when the dust settles at WWE Payback, everybody will know whose game it really is, "M-I-Z, yeah!"

* Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) def. New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston). Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre provided special guest commentary. After Drew McIntyre was attacked, he attempted to throw his chair at one of the Vikings. He threw the other chair at the other Viking, but it hit Xavier Woods instead. The Viking Raiders won with Ragnarok.

- Bray Wyatt tribute airs.

- Damian Priest and Finn Balor debate backstage regarding McDonagh's involvement tonight. Balor says they need to be on the same page. Rhea Ripley intervenes and tells them they must solve this problem and win gold at WWE Payback. If not, Judgement Day will undergo a few changes. Priest teases cashing in Money in the Bank.

- Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle check on Xavier Woods. Kofi Kingston says he's not doing good, but he'll be all right. McIntyre said he and Riddle will face the Viking Raiders next week in a match where he does not need to be tagged in.

- Gunther comes out with Imperium. He says that Chad Gable has his attention and considers Gable his last obstacle on the road to becoming the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion. They will fight for the championship next week. Gable says he will defeat Gunther next week, just like he will defeat Ludwig Kaiser.

* Chad Gable def. Ludwig Kaiser by DQ. The DQ was due to interference by Giovanni Vinci. After the match, Imperium attacked Alpha Academy. Gunther laid out Gable with the Powerbomb.

- The Tag Team Championship match at the pay-per-view is now a street fight.

- Seth Rollins calls out Shinsuke Nakamura. Instead, he gets a video package where Shinsuke Nakamura takes credit for being the reason that you won't be able to walk his daughter down the aisle. Seth Rollins also paid tribute to Bray Wyatt by saying yowie wowie at the start of his promo.

* Tommaso Ciampa def. Bronson Reed

- In a promo, Rhea Ripley claims Raquel Rodriguez had to pretend to be injured to pull one over on her. Ripley says that Rodriguez is a powerful woman, but not Rhea Ripley. Rodriguez heads to the ring. Ripley and Rodriguez fight. Ripley is thrown out of the ring by Rodriguez. Rodriguez approaches Dominik. Ripley tries to attack Raquel from behind and attempts Riptide. Rodriguez evades, dropping Ripley with a hip toss clothesline.

- NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton is shown in the crowd.

* Falls Count Anywhere Match: Becky Lynch def. Zoey Stark. Becky defeated Stark with a manhandle slam through a table in the crowd. There was a great deal of interference from Trish Stratus. Trish got dropped with an errant forearm.
