Live Coverage.

  • Michael Cole & Pat McAfee welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening segment.
  • Seth "Freakin" Rollins appeared in the ring to address "WrestleMania Season", where he said 2025 was a rough start for him after losing against CM Punk in the Netflix debut; however, he said he asked himself who he wanted to be, which was what caused his path to redemption. Rollins bowed to throw out everyone in the Men's Royal Rumble, specifically mentioning the names of CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Roman Reigns, and more to throw out. Rollins declared he was a man on a mission, thinking about which champion to challenge: Cody Rhodes or GUNTHER. Well say his name and he appears, GUNTHER interrupted Rollins. GUNTHER bragged about defeating Jey Uso on the 1/25 edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event before saying Rollins had forgotten what was important in the company and needed to focus on what was important unless he lost his mojo.
Rollins responded by saying the WWE World Heavyweight Championship would not exist. GUNTHER recognized Rollins's career and put it over, but told Rollins to face the facts and that he was not the best wrestler in the company, that name belonged to him as World Champion. GUNTHER then told Rolins to win the Royal Rumble but said Rollins would crumble after him.
Of all people, Logan Paul interrupted and was poured with booes by the crowd. Paul said Netflix needed a new face because he was "great at everything". Paul then said he would be the one to win the Men's Royal Rumble. GUNTHER then said he wanted Paul to win the Men's Royal Rumble so he could smack him in the face, but Rollins responded by saying he would embarrass him when he wins the title.
  • Cathy Kelley interviewed CM Punk ahead of the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble but he was interrupted by Sami Zayn to tell him that he was right about one of them being on a different level, the one who main event WrestleMania. Karrion Kross then confronted Zayn, telling him he needed to focus on what was important and listen to the likes of Kevin Owens. After that, Cody Rhodes met with Zayn, but Zayn said it was good to see Rhodes before randomly leaving.
  • Noah Centineo, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, Quavo, The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) & A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) were spotted in the crowd.
  • WWE World Tag Team Championship Match: War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c) def. Judgment Day (JD McDonagh & Dominik Mysterio) (w/ Carlito) via Pinfall (WAR MACHINE on Mysterio).
  • Ludwig Kaiser met with Pete Dunne, where he told Dunne someone should show him how "they" do things around here. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) agreed with them, but Dunne & Kaiser left. Cathy Kelley then interviewed The New Day, where Woods said he would win tonight in his hometown crowd. Kingston then asked Woods if his family was here, but Woods said he had not heard from them but sent a lot of money in front-row seats for them to be around.
  • Rey Mysterio (w/ Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro & Zelina Vega) def. Xavier Woods (w/ Kofi Kingston) via Pinfall (619 on Woods).
    • Commentary announced that Zelina Vega will be moving to Friday Night SmackDown.
    • Xavier Woods's family showed up in the front row, but they were wearing "New Day Sucks" shirts. This bamboozled Woods.
  • Sami Zayn spoke with Seth Rollins backstage, where Rollins said he and Zayn were good but said he would not be so sure what happened last week was a mistake if it happens again.
  • Jey Uso made his entrance alongside Quavo. Uso said he knew he could beat GUNTHER in some form before announcing his entry into the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble. Uso then bowed to win the Royal Rumble match.
  • Jackie Redmond interviewed the newly crowned WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria, who announced she would be entering the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble Match. Still, she was interrupted by American Made (Chad Gable, Ivy Nile, Julius Creed & Brutus Creed), with Nile challenging Valkyria for the title and tossing her out of the ring in the 2025 Women's Rumble. After that, they confronted Alpha Academy (Otis, Tozawa & Maxxine Dupri) and made fun of them for being focused on doing TikTok dances.
  • Cathy Kelley interviewed WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley where she said she did not care who won the WWE Women's Royal Rumble since they would be brutalized. Bayley interrupted and said she may be the one Ripley sees at WrestleMania. After Ripley wished Bayley good luck, Iyo Sky confronted Bayley and simply told her she would see her on Saturday.
  • Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan) def. Bianca Belair & Naomi via Pinfall (Single-Leg Hook).
    • Dominik Mysterio appeared on ringside to distract the referee but was laid out by Bianca Belair.
  • Kai Cenat was in the crowd for the show. He was announced to appear at the 2025 Royal Rumble event.
  • Penta had a vignette to announce he would be entering the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match.
  • Paul Heyman appeared in the ring to announce Roman Reigns would be the cover star of WWE 2K25. Heyman then said Reigns was going back to the mindset of everyone against him intending to regain the WWE Undisputed Championship. Heyman then said everyone in the locker room aimed to be Roman Reigns, but he was interrupted by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre said he was only here to talk and was only looking for a "thank you" from Heyman for being the one who catapulted The Bloodline. Heyman thanked Drew, but then told him he was crowding him. McIntyre granted Heyman his space but asked Heyman to tell his "boy" he would target him on the Men's Royal Rumble, to which Heyman responded by saying he would tell Roman Reigns; however, McIntyre then grabbed Heyman and told him he was a talking about CM Punk. Heyman then nodded before leaving the ring.
  • Drew McIntyre def. Sami Zayn via Pinfall (Rope-Assisted Schoolboy Roll-Up).
    • Drew McIntyre attacked Zayn after the match, but Cody Rhodes made the save. Kein Owens appeared from the crowd and attacked Rhodes. Zayn tried to save Cody, but he ended up blasting him with a Helluva Kick.
  • Cody Rhodes then cut a promo, where he said it was not just about holding the belt, it was about the responsibility of facing everyone around. CM Punk then interrupted Rhodes and tried to check in on him to say he understood what the belt would do to a man and he said he started to get burned out because of the belt. Punk said Rhodes was not Superman despite him trying to be Bruno Sammartino. Punk said he was here to be his friend and promised to always be his friend because that was a promise made to his father and because he loved it. Punk then said Rhodes was "The Man", but emphasized there are no friends and he had a target on his back. Rhodes then asked Punk what was "next" for him. Punk said he would be able to sleep in his hometown, but he bet Rhodes would not sleep at all because would be doing media and if not, he would be thinking of the biggest match of his career. Punk then said that if Rhodes made it past Kevin Owens, he would spend more nights trying to keep his belt. Pun then said that someone would be getting in the best shape of his career and take the belt, and the bad news was that it was Punk himself. Punk explained he rather stab him in the front while others would stab him in the back. Rhodes then said he was chasing him since the start of his career, but now the dynamic shifted because Punk was chasing him and hoped Punk won the Men's Royal Rumble because he wanted him to catch up. Punk & Rhodes had an intense staredown to end the broadcast.
