- Wade Barrett & Joe Tessitore walked through the crowd to welcome the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening segment.
- WWE Hall of Fame Inductee and San Diego's hometown hero Rey Mysterio appeared for a promo Mysterio said it felt good to be back in his home city in front of his people and his daughter and announced he was entering the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble. Mysterio acknowledged that the Rumble match was already loaded, but then he was interrupted by Kevin Owens. Owens apologized for interrupting because no one was in this industry as much as Mysterio, but said there was one thing he needed to accomplish to say his career was complete: have a match against Rey Mysterio, which is why he wanted Mysterio to win the Rumble so they can have the match at WrestleMania 41. Mysterio thanked Owens for the kind words but did say he would be more than glad to face Owens for the title if he won against Cody Rhodes at the WWE Royal Rumble event. Owens exploded in anger, but Mysterio told him to chill because he reminded him of Dominik with his attitude. Owens lunged at Mysterio, but Mysterio dropkicked Owens onto the middle rope before he rolled out of the ring to evade the 619 from Rey.
- Bianca Belair & Naomi spoke backstage, with Naomi saying Nick Aldis & co. did not have info on who attacked Jade Cargill. This led to their match.
- Rey Mysterio spoke with Nick Aldis to book a match between himself and Kevin Owens for tonight. WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes then appeared, telling Mysterio he would have been there for Mysterio if he was cleared but Mysterio told Rhodes it was no hassle and to heal up because he would handle Owens tonight. Aldis then told Rhodes he needed him to sign a new part of the contract ahead of his ladder match against Kevin Owens, but Rhodes said he would sign it after Owens did.
- Bianca Belair & Naomi def. Candice LeRae & Nia Jax via Pinfall (Full Nelson Bomb from Naomi on LeRae).
- Bayley was interviewed by Byron Saxton before the show, where she said she did not feel her title reign last year went as well as she wanted, which is why she said she needed to win the title back tonight.
- Michin spoke with B-Fab, but they were interrupted by Chelsea Green & Piper Niven. Green talked trash to Michin and B-Fab tried to simmer the tempers, but Niven said that if B-Fab took a step towards Green it would be her last. B-Fab then said she would speak with Nick Aldis to book a match.
- Jimmy Uso def. Carmelo Hayes via Disqualification.
- The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga) attacked Uso, causing the referee to throw out the match. They also attacked Hayes after he tried to partner up with them.
- After that attack, Solo Sikoa appeared in the ring for a promo. He was interrupted by the crowd chanting, but Sikoa then took off his suit and walked out of the arena to Fatu & Tonga's confusion. Fatu then picked up the microphone, saying he was tired of the disrespect, the hate, and envy, and aid no one can touch him on his bad day. Fatu said he did not give a damn if they cheer or boo him, but said he would still get him and he was just getting started. LA Knight attacked Fatu & Tonga from behind, but Fatu caught him with a Hidden Blade. Braun Strowman then walked down the ramp and threw Tonga onto the barricade. Strowman then had a staredown with Fatu, but Tonga pulled Fatu ou of the ring.
- Santos Escobar & Elektra Lopez spoke with Los Garza (Angel & Berto), who told them to focus on their match against The Motor City Machine Guns and gain their respect by winning tonight.
- WWE Tag Team Championship - #1 Contenders Match: Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) def. Los Garza (Angel & Berto) (w/ Santos Escobar & Elektra Lopez) via Pinfall (Skull & Bones on Berto).
- Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) interfered in the match in an attempt to cost Motor City Machine Guns, but ended up costing Los Garza instead.
- Kevin Owens was met by Nick Aldis, with Aldis wanting Owens to sign the modified contract. Owens refused to sign it until Rhodes signed the contract and told Aldis to leave him alone because he had a match tonight.
- Piper Niven (w/ Chelsea Green) def. B-Fab via Pinfall (Night Wing).
- Joe Tessitore paid a tribute to Bob Uecker after his passing. Fighful sends its condolences to Uecker's friends, fans & family.
