WWE SmackDown (3/1/2024) Results: The Rock Speaks, Bayley & Dakota Kai vs Kabuki Warriors, More Set

On March 1, 2024, WWE hosted a new episode of Friday Night SmackDown on Fox.

The show was headlined by The Rock responding to Cody Rhodes, and the team of Bayley & the returning Dakota Kai facing The Kabuki Warriors. The full results are listed below.

WWE SmackDown (3/1/2024).

  • After a video recap of Elimination Chamber Perth, Corey Graves & Wade Barrett welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening segment.
  • The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa) came to the ring to cut a promo. Reigns asked the crowd to Acknowledge Him, but he was not satisfied with the response from the crowd. Reigns told The Bloodline that they were done here, but Heyman told Reigns there was more business to attend to.
    This transitioned into Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson making his SmackDown return. After making fun of Arizona's Drug Epidemic and trying to be flirty with the women in the crowd, Johnson issued a challenge to Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins for night One of WrestleMania, where if they won, Rhodes would face Reigns with everyone barred from ringside; however, Rock said that if himself & Reigns won the match, Rhodes would have to challenge Reigns to a Bloodline Rules Match. Johnson was about to conclude his promo, but Reigns stopped him before asking Johnson to acknowledge him. The Rock obliged and acknowledged Reigns as his Tribal Chief before embracing with Reigns.
  • Grayson Waller & Austin Theory were watching footage of Randy Orton losing the Elimination Chamber match before LA Knight asked if they had seen AJ Styles because he had a souvenir for him. Randy Orton joined Waller & Theory in the watch-along from out of nowhere before challenging either of the two to a match later tonight.
  • Tiffany Stratton def. Naomi.
  • Bayley & Dakota Kai vs. Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (w/ Iyo Sky) Ended in a No Contest.
    • During the match, Bayley tried to tag Dakota Kai into the match, but Kai dropped off the apron. Kai, Asuka & Kairi attacked Bayley, leading the referee to throw the match out for a no-contest. Damage CTRL stood over Bayley after the match.
  • Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Asuka & Kairi Sane) walked around backstage before they were confronted by Jade Cargill. Nick Aldis simmered the tension.
  • Bron Breakker def. Xyon Quinn.
  • There was a video recap highlighting Legado del Fantasma ahead of Santos Escobar's Street Fight against Carlito.
  • Street Fight: Carlito def. Santos Escobar.
    • In the latter parts of the match, Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza attacked Carlito and tried to help Escobar. Cruz del Toro & Joaqun Wilde went to make the save, but they were laid out by Garza & Carrillo. After that, Rey Mysterio returned from injury by laying out Garza & Carrillo. Mysterio & Carlito double-teamed Escobar by hitting a Backstabber/ 619 Combo before Carlito hit a Spinebuster on Carlito through the table for the win.
  • New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) spoke with Nick Aldis backstage asking them for another title shot, but Aldis said that he & Adam Pearce would have an announcement about the tag titles that he could not share soon. After that, LA Knight confronted Aldis and asked where AJ Styles was, but Aldis told Knight that he sent AJ Styles home.
  • Randy Orton def. Austin Theory (w/ Grayson Waller).
    • Kevin Owens was on commentary.
    • Waller attacked Orton after the match, but Kevin Owens made the save. Owens hit a Stunner on Theory while Orton caught Waller with an RKO. Owens & Orton stood tall to end the broadcast.
