Speaking to Covalent TV, Fenix was asked about his WrestleMania experience.

"It's a dream. I'm living my dream. Only my third week in WWE. My third SmackDown. The next day, boom, WrestleMania. It's not the way I want, Rey Mysterio getting injured, but I'm happy to be the guy who wrestled (in his place). I'm living the dream. It's a dream come true. It's amazing," he said.

El Grande Americano was victorious in the bout against Fenix.
