After teasing retirement weeks ago, Rey Mysterio will be back in action on Raw.
WWE announced that the former World Heavyweight Champion will take on Gran Metalik on the September 9 edition of Raw, taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Three weeks after his son Dominick pulled him from the brink of retirement, Rey Mysterio will compete on Monday Night Raw, taking on fellow luchador Gran Metalik of Lucha House Party in one-on-one combat.
As Dominick no doubt watches closely, how will The Ultimate Underdog fare against the high-flying Metalik as the masked warriors square off in legendary Madison Square Garden?
The September 9 episode won't just see the two luchadors in action but also one half of the King of the Ring semifinals as Baron Corbin, Samoa Joe and Ricochet have a triple threat match where the winner will face the winner of Elias vs. Chad Gable which is taking place on September 10. The winner of both semifinal matches will meet in the King of the Ring finals at Clash of Champions on September 15. Also scheduled for Raw is the contract signing for the Universal Championship match between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin set to moderate the signing.
Fightful will have live coverage of Raw with a post-show podcast set to follow immediately after Raw goes off the air.
