The fate of the WWE United States title will be revealed next week.
On WWE Monday Night Raw, WWE confirmed that Rey Mysterio suffered a separated shoulder at WWE Money in the Bank. Mysterio was victorious over Samoa Joe at Money in the Bank, winning the United States Title in the process. The match was not without some controversy as Joe's shoulder was clearly up before the count of three. Joe's shoulder being up was mentioned on commentary during the replay. After the bout, Joe attacked Mysterio to cut his celebration short, which is when the injury occurred.
PWInsider first reported this afternoon that Mysterio had suffered a separated shoulder.
After announcing Mysterio's injury, Joe cut a promo, saying his shoulder wasn't down. Next week, he would allow Mysterio to do the right thing and hand the title back to him.
