Rey Mysterio says Penta proved himself.
Penta, formerly known as Penta El Zero Miedo, had a successful debut on the January 13th episode of WWE Raw, as he defeated Chad Gable in a singles match that left fans buzzing. Penta thanked the fans and declared that WWE was in the Penta Era in a post-match interview.
In an interview that aired during a commercial break after the match, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio was asked to comment on Penta's debut.
“I’ve known Penta for quite some time now, and I’ve always envisioned Penta’s true home to be WWE. Well, he just went out there and proved to me and the whole world why he’s here," Mysterio said.
Penta is already a decorated competitor, as he has won titles in AEW, AAA, MLW, TNA, and Lucha Underground.
