Rey Mysterio comments on his future.
Rey Mysterio is set to turn 50 this December, and while he's still performing at a high level, his career is closer to the end than the beginning. Rey is already a WWE Hall of Famer with a laundry list of accomplishments, and he hopes to have a proper goodbye for the fans.
"I think what's left is to be able to plan a nice sunset and be able to thank everyone that has followed and supported me throughout the years, and give them, when the time is right, a good farewell. Not something that'll happen one time and then I come back and do it again. Maybe a farewell tour. Something that can mean something to me and everyone that will be there. Whether it's every city, a country, 'this is the last time we'll be together,'" he told Busted Open Radio at Fanatics Fest NYC.
Mysterio hasn't wrestled on television since the July 8th episode of WWE Raw when he was defeated by Dominik Mysterio in a tag team match.
He has been active at live events.
