Rey Mysterio Jr is returning to NJPW in August.
For pretty much all of 2018, there have been rumors and reports of Rey Mysterio Jr signing a contract with WWE. He was in the Royal Rumble match in January and was not seen again in WWE until April at the Greatest Royal Rumble match. Meanwhile he was wrestling his normal independent dates and securing some dates for NJPW and the All In event.
He was suppose to perform at the NJPW Strong Style Evolved event but pulled out due to injury. He later appeared at NJPW Dominion in a six-man tag team match. At a press conference for the G1 Climax, Mysterio was named for a third NJPW this year. He will face the never before seen Sengoku Enbu on August 12th.
Enbu apparently takes his name from a mobile game which is sponsoring the NJPW event.
The G1 Climax will take place between July 14th and August 12th. Mysterio wil be wrestling on the last night of the event.
