Rey Mysterio Makes His In-Ring Debut For NJPW

"The Master Of The 619" has finally made his in-ring debut for New Japan.

Former two-time World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio was advertised to be taking on Jushin Thunder Liger at NJPW's 'Strong Style Evolved' show this past March as a callback to their WCW Cruiserweight Championship match at the 1996 'Starrcade' show. Unfortunately for the fans that match did not take place due to Mysterio tearing his bicep a few weeks prior to the event.

Mysterio did make an appearance on the show and stated that he will live up to his promise of wrestling for NJPW and he did just that during today's 'Dominion' event. The all-star trio of Jushin Thunder Liger, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Rey Mysterio took on the 'Bullet Club' (Cody, Adam "Hangman" Page & Marty Scurll).

The six-man tag was a back and forth bout that featured all three members of 'Bullet Club' involved in this match wanting a piece of either three of the legends standing across the ring from them. In the end Mysterio was unsuccessful in his NJPW debut as he was busy fighting off Marty Scurll on the outside while Cody had Liger trapped in a "Cross-Rhodes" in the ring that secured the victory for his team.
