Days before the card was set to take place, Rey Mysterio has been pulled from New Japan Pro Wrestling's Strong Style Evolved event due to injury.
Mysterio has been removed from his planned match this Sunday, as he was set to compete against Jushin Thunder Liger on the event. Will Ospreay will step in and take his place in a match scheduled for a 30 minute time limit. PWInsider has reported that Rey Mysterio will be in Birmingham this week to get his bicep checked out by WWE doctors ahead of signing a new deal.
Several other matches were announced for the card, including one between the Bullet Club OG team of Guerrillas of Destiny against Cody & Marty Scurll.
