Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler Return To NXT On 8/30, Hype Women's Title Unification At Worlds Collide

Two NXT greats returned on August 30.

The August 30 episode of WWE NXT 2.0 featured several names from the past returning to the brand because, on September 4, NXT and NXT UK will collide with several championships being unified. In the case of women's wrestling, the NXT brand holds a special place in the women's Evolution movement. With names like Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, Sasha Banks, and Shayna Baszler holding the NXT Women's Championship, it played a major role in showcasing that women can be main eventers as well.

Shayna Baszler even showed up on tonight's episode of NXT to tell Mandy rose that she needs to be successful on Sunday, September 4 for everything that she's been saying for the past year to be worth anything at all.

On the flip side, Alba Fyre told Meiko Satomura that the title she won by beating Fyre herself looks good on her.

Sitting in the middle of this unification equation is Blair Davenport. Davenport comes to this math with no gold but looks to walk away as NXT and NXT UK Women's Champion. Rhea Ripley understands what it's like to hold both of those belts and lets Blair Davenport know that her confidence doesn't have to be all for naught. As long as she doesn't screw it up that is.
