Ric Flair speaks highly of Logan Paul.
After Paul a few appearances in 2021, he joined WWE ahead of WrestleMania 38 in 2022. He made his in-ring debut at the show, as he teamed up with The Miz to defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Paul then signed with WWE and defeated The Miz at WWE SummerSlam. He went on to headline Crown Jewel against Roman Reigns, and he competed in the 2023 Royal Rumble match. Following his match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39, he signed a new contract. In recent weeks, Paul has competed in the Money in the Bank match, and he has been feuding with Ricochet.
Speaking with Scott Thompson for Fox News Digital, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair praised Paul. After noting that he doesn't think WWE has many true athletes anymore, he claimed that Paul is better than "probably 70%" of the full-time roster.
"I can name three [true athletes]. I can’t name 10. I can name three: Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle and my daughter. I have a hard time thinking about who are great athletes. If [Logan Paul] committed himself to it, yeah. He’s better than — I think I said it — probably 70% of the full-time guys," Flair said.
Flair went on to express how Paul has impressed him, as the social media megastar has balls. He noted that Paul stands out with the way he's already jumping off ladders and doing high-risk moves despite his lack of experience.
"A good athlete can do anything and pull off anything. What impressed me about him is he’s got balls. To never do it, to just start jumping off a ladder and s--- like that and never done that you’re whole life, it’s a little different," Flair said.
Paul is set to face Ricochet at WWE SummerSlam. More information is available here.
