"Naitch" talks.
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair held his commitment ceremony with his longtime partner Wendy Barlow two days ago. The "Naitch" and Wendy said their vows to one another and locked their relationship in. Wendy has been by Flair's side for quite a long time - through the good and the bad and that is exampled by Barlow being on Flair's side every step of the way during his health scare in the summer of 2017 that sent the wrestling and pop culture worlds into a frenzy. The two-time WWE Hall Of Famer is back to his old self as far as the public eye can see and he provided an update on how he's feeling one year out from the scare while he was interviewed by 'News-Press'.
"I’m doing great. It was a year anniversary last Tuesday. I’ve healed, and I had the second operation to repair the stoma. I feel great, and I’m blessed man, no kidding." He said. "It’s been phenomenal. Someone gave me another chance. Not someone, but you know, The Man gave me the opportunity. I feel very special and I feel very happy to be in the position I’m in."
Ric Flair has not competed in the ring since 2011 during an IMPACT TV taping against his fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Sting. Although Flair is not psychically able to get back in the ring, he does miss the sport dearly and stated just that during this interview.
"I’m not saying it [wrestling] wasn’t hard, but I didn’t look at it as just work. I loved it. It became a way of life for me. I loved it, and I miss it a lot now." Flair stated. "But like I said, I really enjoy watching my daughter, and I attend a lot of events, and through my relationship with her, I stay in touch with a lot of the kids who all come out… It’s been a wonderful experience."
