Ricky Starks: I Refuse To Be Done With Jericho Just Because I Beat Him Once, I Want To Prove A Point

Ricky Starks discusses his current feud with Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society.

For months, Ricky Starks has been going back and forth with nearly all the members of the Jericho Appreciation Society, despite the fact that he beat Chris Jericho in their first ever encounter back on the January 4, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite. Throughout this time, Starks has had singles matches against Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Angelo Parker, and Matt Menard.

Bayley: I Didn't Think What I Was Doing Before My Heel Turn Was Going To Extend My Career

While speaking to Bleacher Report for a new interview, Starks noted that beating Jericho in their first singles match wasn't enough for him, as he wants to prove a point to 'The Ocho' and his goons.

"Well, I think, for me, it's a matter of not just beating Chris, but I really just want to prove a point here, a point that I would refuse to be embarrassed, and I refuse to just be done with something just because of one victory against Jericho. On top of that, the more that I beat JAS, the more that I can really show the weak points of the entire group itself. I am actually really focused on making sure that I outsmart Chris, at all costs. So I think getting a second chance at that type of redemption is what I'm looking forward to."

Starks also went on to say that he isn't even a fan of Jericho's historic 30+ year career in the squared circle.

"I'm not impressed. I don't see anything that everyone else sees. Maybe, actually, you know, I see a little bit of it, but not enough to impress me. And, in the great words of Shania Twain, 'That don't impress me much.'"

It is currently unknown if Starks and Jericho will face off again in the near future.
