Ricochet doesn't only want to win championship gold in AEW. He also wants to tell better stories and leave a grander legacy as an artist.
Ricochet joined AEW in Wembley Stadium at AEW All In 2024 after his WWE contract expired. Since then, he has had two chances at becoming the AEW International Champion, been given the opportunity to reignite an old rivalry with Will Ospreay, and now, he looks to enter the second AEW Continental Classic, creating another opportunity for himself to earn gold and expand his reputation in All Elite Wrestling.
Speaking to Fightful's Iridian Fierro for WGN Radio 720, Ricochet expressed his desire to not only win the upcoming tournament but eventually win the AEW World Championship. Along the way, he wants to tell better stories for the audience.
"What I want to accomplish is just continue to build the resume for Ricochet, continue to give the people you know something fun to watch," he said. "Obviously, I came to AEW, I want to be champion. I wanted to be the International Champion. That didn't happen... yet, but it will. I want to win the Continental Classic. I want to be the AEW Champion. I want to be the Tag Team Champion. Obviously, those are goals that I think every wrestler needs to have. But for me, again, I've been doing it so long that now, I want to tell good stories. I want to give people a good product. I want to create art that will last and that people will talk about, really at the end of the day, that's my main goal, to create art. Art that will last a lifetime, and whether that's a specific moment with a move, whether that's a match, whether that's a story, whether that's a promo, whatever it is, I just want to continue to make art that will last."
