First AEW Women's Champion crowned.
Riho is the first-ever AEW Women's Champion, defeating Nyla on the premiere episode of AEW Dynamite. It was a battle of strength against speed and the speed of Riho won out as she put Nyla away with a running double knee attack.

After the bout, Nyla Rose was none too happy with the result, taking out Michael Nakazawa as he tried to interview the new champion before turning her attention to Riho. Fortunately, Kenny Omega made the save.
