The Rock And John Cena's Appearances Lead To Viewership, Rating Boost For 9/15 WWE SmackDown

Check out the viewership numbers for the September 15 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that the September 15 episode of WWE SmackDown recorded 2.569 million viewers in finalized viewership. This is up big from the September 8 episode of the show, which recorded 2.094 million viewers.

Furthermore, the September 15 episode of the show recorded a 0.70 rating in the 18 to 49 demo, up from the September 8 episode, which recorded a 0.53 rating.

According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp on Twitter, WWE SmackDown on September 15 drew 2.445 million viewers in the preliminary numbers. This number is up 24% from the 1.969 million viewers in the preliminary numbers on September 8.

Friday's episode drew 834,000 viewers in the key demographic of P18-49. This number is a 36% surge from September 8's preliminary rating of 0.47.

Friday's SmackDown featured an unadvertised appearance from Dwayne The Rock Johnson, which opened the show. John Cena was in the closing segment as part of the Grayson Waller Effect. Both legends had a brief segment during the show where they embraced.
