The Rock arrived to NXT, but before he went to the ring, he spoke backstage with Ethan Page and his daughter NXT GM Ava.
The Rock said he's heard a lot about Ethan, and not all good. He said that if Ethan ever needs anything, he could call him. He told Ethan that even though he's the Final Boss, Ava is the Final Boss on NXT. Rock said he would see Ethan on the main roster one day.
The Rock smacked Ethan on the ass as he left.

Ava and The Rock then spoke and Rock said he was unsure of what he was going to say when he got to the ring and asked Ava for advice. Ava noted the passion of the NXT fans, leading to a "Rocky" chant, which was heard by The Rock.
