The Rock gives Mami her due.
On the Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW on January 1st, Rhea Ripley would successfully defend her WWE Women's World Title in a bout with Ivy Nile. This was not the only major moment on the show, as The Rock would also make a return to RAW to confront Jinder Mahal. After a verbal beatdown followed by an actual beatdown, The Rock would have his mic drop moment, as he would ask the San Diego crowd if he should sit at the head of the table.
Photos surfaced after the appearance of The Rock hanging out backstage with the champ, holding her Women's World Title and more. On Saturday night, The Rock took to social media, heaping praise on Ripley while telling her to keep 'kickin ass and raising the bar.'
She wears black.
I love black.
She’s a bad ass.
And I got famous for wearing a fanny pack.
We had fun f*cking around backstage ----
Love, appreciate and respect you champ @rhearipley_wwe - thanks for trusting me with your title, keep kickin’ ass and raising the bar ------
Big shout to @cathykelley for being a total pro and having fun -- ----
