The Rock praises Drew McIntyre
Who is the next big star in WWE? Steve Austin believes it can be Kevin Owens, though he doesn't want Owens to draw comparisons to himself. The Rock is looking at the man who Owens defeated this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live.
TMZ caught up with The Rock and asked him who he believes is the next Rock or John Cena.
"Let’s see…you know, I’m not quite too sure,” he said. “I just know that a lot of guys obviously are working very hard. I spent a lot of time with Roman, spent the past week with him and we were talking about everybody who has potential and who doesn’t. Personally, I like Drew McIntyre. I think he’s got a great look, a great build, and especially as he continues to hone in on his craft and connect with the audience, which is always the most important thing. That's it."
McIntyre caught wind of the comment and responded on Twitter.

The Rock's new film "Hobbs & Shaw" hits theaters on Friday. There is no word on when he will return to WWE television.
