Rocky Romero wears many hats in wrestling, whether he's a wrestler, a manager, or working behind the scenes.
But he only wears one eyepatch. Rocky sports his trademark eyepatch to the ring before taking it off to wrestle.
Speaking on Talk N Shop, Romero explained the idea for the eyepatch.
"Technically, yes, I am a rapping pirate," Romero replied when asked by a fan if he wears it because he's a "rapping pirate."
He continued by saying, "I wear it as an ode to a great rapper, Slick motherfucking Rick. He gave me the idea. I was scrolling and looking for ideas to add to my entrance gear and there was an inspiration with Slick Rick and he had the blinged-out one so I was like, 'I'm going to see if I can make custom eye patches and it'd be a cool way to do merch because it'd be different. I found a place to make custom eye patches, put my face on it, and changed them throughout the years. All my shit is ripped off."
Romero is set to show off his eyepatch on the June 25 episode of NJPW Strong when he battles Clark Connors.
