Roderick Strong is returning to independent wrestling.
Strong, a former ROH World Champion, was one of the top stars on the independent scene when he signed with WWE in 2016. During his time with the company, he held the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, the NXT North American Championship, and the NXT Tag Team Championship. Strong left the company and made his shocking AEW debut on the April 26 episode of AEW Dynamite. He wrestled for the first time since August on the May 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, and he is set to return to the independent scene.
Prestige Wrestling announced that Strong will be part of its Black Sunshine event, which will be held at The Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on June 18. The show will stream live on IWTV.
