Roman Reigns wants to be acknowledged.
For nearly four years, Roman Reigns has held the WWE Universal Championship, further establishing himself as the face of the company. Reigns has been at the forefront of WWE reaching new business heights with the company merging with UFC, record sponsorships being reached, new media deals coming to fruition, and more.
Stars have come and gone in those four years, but Reigns has remained the constant.
"Everybody's story revolves around me. [Cody] is one of many trying to tie this thing up. At the end of the day, he's just a chapter in the big book. This thing started in August 2020 when I came back and told the whole world that I was the Head of the Table and the head of the greatest wrestling dynasty to ever exist. We have done so many great things. There is a magnetism. You [McAfee] got pulled in. Same thing with Cody. He was off doing who cares, a whole lot of nothing, he saw what we were doing in WWE and he wanted to be part of that. Hollywood, Dwayne, saw what we were doing. I'm the only guy that didn't have to go to Hollywood. Hollywood came to me," Roman stated on the Pat McAfee Show.
The Rock first returned in September 2023 for a one-off appearance but came back at WWE Raw Day One and referenced Roman being the Head of the Table, leading to an extended showdown, and now a partnership, between the two.
Roman & Rock will team at night one of WrestleMania 40 to face Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins. Roman will then defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody at night two of WrestleMania 40.
Elsewhere during the interview, Roman commented on possibly facing The Rock. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
