Roman Reigns says he's still on medication for leukemia.
In 2018, Roman Reigns had to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship after announcing that he had been living with leukemia for over a decade and that the cancer had resurfaced. Roman Reigns return to action in February 2019 and proudly announced that his cancer was in remission.
During his A&E Biography special, Roman Reigns revealed that he is still on medication for leukemia. He called the medication a "very potent" one.
"I think adversity is a constant reminder of what the world is and what life is, and it's not fair," said Roman. "I think it's a form of resistance training that we have to go through to strengthen ourselves. So I think adversity is a key ingredient to any success story. For leukemia, if you caught it an early enough stage like I did, you're able to take, essentially, a medication, a very potent medication that I'm still on to this day, but it's pretty much just a conditioning of getting your body used to these toxic medications and just hoping for the best."
Elsewhere on this Biography special, Roman discussed not wanting to separate from Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in The Shield and not wanting to turn babyface. Learn more here.
