Ronda Rousey comments on what's been happening in WWE.
On Tuesday evening, Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from WWE as co-CEO of the company leaving Nick Khan as the lone CEO. Vince McMahon, who returned to the board of directors on January 6, was unanimously voted as executive chairman.
Before Stephanie announced her resignation, Rousey was on her game stream and was asked if she would be at the February 3 episode of WWE SmackDown.
"I don't know. I don't know. If you haven't noticed, everything is a little bit in flux with WWE right now [laughs]. I don't think anyone knows what's going on with anybody this week, let alone weeks from now," she said.
Rousey was not on the January 6 episode of WWE SmackDown after losing her WWE SmackDown Women's Championship to a returning Charlotte Flair on the December 30 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Vince McMahon, who is still the majority shareholder of WWE, announced his intention to return to the board of directors to help with the upcoming media rights negotiations and a potential sale of the company. On January 7 it was reported that WWE hired JPMorgan to assist with a potential sale.
As of now, WWE has not announced a sale of the company.
