"Rowdy" Ronda rolls on.
Ahead of defending her RAW Women's Championship at SummerSlam on August 19th, the champion Alexa Bliss has been trying to avoid the women's division powerhouse that is the UFC Hall Of Famer Ronda Rousey. Alexa's regular running-mate Mickie James is currently on tour with her music group so filling in for Mickie has been Alicia Fox.
Last week on RAW, Alicia Fox got herself involved in the middle of Alexa Bliss and Ronda Rousey's issues with one another which led to Ronda demanding a match with Alicia Fox. Tonight that match took place in Fox's hometown of Jacksonville, FL as she faced Ronda Rousey in Ronda's first match on Monday Night RAW.
Alexa Bliss was in the corner of Alicia Fox and Natalya was in the corner of Ronda and both corner-women got involved in the match at different points but the closing sequence of the match saw Ronda lock in her signature armbar which made Fox tap out in the middle of the ring. Ronda was successful in her RAW in-ring debut but she soon hopped on the microphone and made it clear that her eyes are set on August 19th in Brooklyn where she will be looking to become the sixth woman to hold the RAW Women's Championship.
