Ronda Rousey Was "Weary Of Rejection" By WWE

Ronda Rousey says she got a WWE tryout in a roundabout way.

Ronda Rousey previously revealed she did some training in a WWE ring as part of her bachelorette party and that led to her joining WWE. In an interview with CBS Sports, Ronda Rousey said the bachelorette party was her way of asking for a tryout but without actually doing it.

"That was my kind of tryout that I asked for in a roundabout way because I was too weary of rejection to ask for a tryout. I think we were trying each other out. I was trying (WWE) out and they were trying me out," said Rousey.

After the bachelorette party was over, Rousey said she did not want to stop training. She began training independently from WWE before she was officially signed and that's because she had so much fun in the WWE ring.

"It wasn't like I had an epiphany moment . We just had a really good time all week, and by the time I pulled up to L.A, I was just like, 'Wow, that was so cool. Imagine what it would be like if we could do that all the time?' I think when it was over and I didn't want it to be over, that's when I knew that I wanted to be back," said Rousey.

The professional wrestling debut match of Rousey will take place at WrestleMania 34 and will be a mixed tag team match.

Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for the event.
