RVD arrives on the scene in All Elite Wrestling.
'The Whole F'n Show' showed up to confront Jack Perry on the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. Jerry Lynn, who was set to come face to face with Perry, noted that there isn't a doctor on earth that would clear him to get in the ring.
Lynn went on to say that he luckily has an old friend that still wrestles. Moments later, RVD hit the ring, much to the approval of the Tampa, Florida crowd.
Once Van Dam made it in the ring, Perry quickly backed out of the ring and seemingly retreated. When Lynn and RVD went to embrace in the ring, Perry tried to come back in the ring with a chair, but he was quickly chased off once again.

Near the end of the broadcast, it was confirmed that Perry will defend his FTW Championship against Van Dam on the August 9 episode of Dynamite. The bout will be contested under FTW rules.
