These days, Sami Zayn is one of the most beloved stars in WWE, and he holds the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Years ago, he built his name as El Generico on the independent scene. Mystery has surrounded Generico since Zayn came to WWE, but fans have sometimes wondered about his potential return.
Speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn was asked to comment on how a potential match against El Generico might go.
“I don’t know. It would probably be a pretty competitive fight. Both guys are kind of known for their heart and sticking it out. So I don’t know, I feel like that would go 45 minutes [laughs], both guys just blown to high hell and struggling to get up, but kind of still fighting through it. I feel like it’d be that kind of match," Zayn said.
